LOL.

Um, the point here is that I don't have a party. Keep up. If I had a party, I wouldn't be voting in this poll, I wouldn't be posting in this thread, and you wouldn't have this opportunity to hassle me for rejecting the unAmerican blight that the GOP has become.

Ta ta.
You have a party. The democrats. Not sure why you cant be honest and admit that.

Sounds like a typical brainwashed Trumper.

Whenever you feel up to contradicting anything I just said with facts, have at it. Until then, you can just keep swallowing the idiocy your masters are feeding you

Have voted independent for 3 presidential elections now including last one.

I realize often my independent vote allows some other candidate to win. This time no matter who or how revolting will vote for ever who the Dem nominee. Am hoping I don't have to vote for Warren or Biden but I would.

Eventually, Dems and Reps alike might catch onto to the movement that votes can't be taken for granted anymore. If they were smart, they'd pander a bit more to us than the extremes on either side.

As for the OPs question, I think I'll go 3rd this time as well. Trump, well, he has done a few good things, and most of the candidates have a few ideas that I could get behind. Yet not one of them does it for me. They, Trump and the Dem candidates alike, pander to the extremes far too much.
Bernie, God love him, had my attention at one time, but even he comes across as less sincere and far too extreme. He does have a good heart, but he is full of pipe dreams no one can exist on. Husband is still behind him and Warren. If I had to go out and vote today, I might vote for the guy from Montana, who's name I don't even remember, who's name doesn't register at all, but who has some good ideas.
Yep, disillusioned with all of them, not that I expected much.

This poll is for Independents only. Do you plan to vote for Trump in 2020?

I didn't vote for him last time, although I listened to what he had to say. Observing his behavior in the republican debates and realizing how ignorant he was, I refused to vote for him, although I wasn't crazy about Hillary. I would have rather had Biden in that last race, but that was not an option for his personal reasons.

Now that I'm witnessing his behavior, words and actions for such a long period of time, there is no way I would vote for him regardless of who he was running against.

He was not my choice in the primaries, but I could not see voting for Hillary.
I have not decided who I'm voting for. It will depend on the democrat nominee, whether the person is far left or moderate.

Most independents, and undecided on this website are so far leaning left they would vote for Stalin if given the opportunity.

no, i will not be voting for Trump.

Didn't vote for Trump in 2016 in either the primaries or in the general. I often vote a mix of both parties, although I lean to the right. I did Hillary a huge favor in 2016 by not voting for Trump and writing in someone else, mainly because I didn't think Trump had a chance of winning. Since I lean to the right, I will say that really about the whole field of Democrats is just too far left for me. I've been looking at the moderates but even they seem too far to the left, at least anyone with a legitimate chance of being the nominee. And, I suspect that even if Biden were to win the nomination, he will pick a far lefty for his VP.

What I'm trying to say is that I didn't vote for Trump in 2016 because I didn't think he had a chance of actually winning. If I suspected that he had a prayer of winning I would have not wasted my vote and I would have voted for Trump in 2016. In other words, If I think Trump has any chance of winning then this time around I will not waste my vote if the alternative is someone too far left (or their running mate is). But, right now I am still undecided. Still don't like Trump but I'm not voting for a far lefty. Another 4 years of Trump would be better than that.

Since I would like to own Greenland, I have rethought my decision. Go Trump!

I will assess who the Libertarians put up as a candidate. If they pick yet another clown, I will write in Jon Huntsman until he gets the message and runs.

I disagree with this.

In 2016 the 2 parties collectively put forth the two most despicable candidates we've seen in a long time. These 2 garbage candidates still received 95ish percent of the votes that were cast. Something like 130 million of the 136 million votes cast went to those two. If 95% of the voting population will vote for those 2 then who wouldn't they vote for?

You literally have a picture of a Trump as your profile pic. Let's not pretend you are voting for anyone other than Trump.

That has nothing to do with political purposes.

This poll is a sham! It's a bunch of liberals acting like independants.

Rigged...Sad!

Now you are sounding like Trump.

Hmm. Picture idolizing a Trump - altering your speech to sound more like Trump.......claiming you aren't sure if you like Trump. Something doesn't quite add up here.

I will. Not that I'm a fan of his behavior, I'm not, I just don't have a stick so far up my ass that I can't see that the policies he's putting forward are good for the nation.

Much like I voted for Obama in 08, and eternally shamed that I had done so, it was not so much a vote for him but a vote against McCain.

Same here.

Anything which slows down, impedes, or stops the Democrats from destroying this country is to be considered a good thing. No matter how unpalatable their behavior may be.

I will NOT vote for Trump in 2020; whoever the Democrats put up will have my vote, because I want it to count against Trump without using the ***** "voted third-party therefore I'm not responsible for anything" defense.

I didn't vote for Trump in 2016 and I'm unsure how I'll vote in 2020 because it largely depends who the opponent is.

All I know is I'm not especially fond of any democrat running at this point. Trump has proven to me that he's not the greatest president but certainly not the worst in history.

Nope. Registered Independent but tend to lean liberal so no shocker there =p. I didn't like him in 2016 and really don't like him now, probably will end up voting libertarian again in 2020 unless the DNC doesn't screw things up (though, I'm 95% confident they will).

Same. No way I would vote for Biden.

I have not voted for the Dems of Repubs since Kerry (ugh what a mistake that was) and have no plans to do it in the future.

On the other hand, I hope Trump wins because I dont want a tax and spend Democrat in office.

While I'm not currently affiliated with any party, I am registering as a Democrat so that I can vote in their primary. Assuming that I still count as an independent in spirit, I fully intend to vote Democrat down ticket for any position that isn't running a Libertarian, save only for the Presidency. I'm going to oppose Trump wholeheartedly on that part of the ticket, even if it means voting for a statist pig like Kamala. I can at least trust her not to push the drug war further while it's an unpopular policy.
