I would guess it would depend on your idea of what is excessive. Some might argue they have brought about their own due.
One of them wears a hair cover that gives truth to the idea that she is less than a man, why be concerned with that, when she is anti-process resulting in President Trump? I certainly hope she understands that if Sharia Law is adopted, she will either have to mend the fire or be stoned!

Comedy relief? Me? No, it is your tongue in cheek presentation that is so goofy as to be, maybe not funny, but in an adult way laughable. You state some Christian women, I'll let you trot out those truly one-off Christian sects. While you are doing that, please provide any exception in Islam.

Learn the difference between a hijab and a burqa. And can you show me any evidence that she wants Sharia law here in America?

My take on this "squad"? They are waaay too far left for me, and their platforms contain impossible, pie-in-the-sky wish-lists, which their constituents would dearly love to see implemented. Those same constituents sent these women to congress to represent them, and they are doing so with candor and passion, too guileless and enthusiastic to understand the "tut-tut, it's not done this way" D.C. elites. And they have paid a heavy price for doing so, sacrificing their own personal safety in some cases.

They didn't ask for this notoriety; it was thrust on them by the obsession of Fox News and Trump, using extremely progressive women of color as a wink-wink, nod-nod mantra to Trump's white nationalistic base, in my opinion.

However, most of them are not shirking the notoriety they have been given either. Wasn't sure how I was going to vote in this poll, until now. They are actually doing what their constituents want them to do. Who among us would not love to say the same about our own representatives? :)

I would point out that Republicans generally love talking about these 4 (though mostly AOC, I think) for the same reason that Democrats and CNN LOVED covering Trump Rallies in 2015 and early 2016 - it's a lot more fun to focus in on the loud, crazy, and clearly ignorant sections of the other, especially if, by elevating your profile, you can then make variations of the the argument that "See? All those [fill in the opposition party's name] are like this crazy idiot" (also see: "Normal [fill in the opposition party's name] may be sane, but they've been captured by their crazy base, as demonstrated by the power of this crazy idiot" and "[fill in the opposition party's name]'s are guaranteed to lose, because they're being led in policy matters by this crazy idiot").

AOC & team and Trump are two sides of the same coin (Trump's base makes roughly the same claim about him that you point out about them - he's too crazy and open to be guileless, he doesn't do it "the way things are done in D.C.", etc.), and they feed off each other; like Symbiotic Parasites on the American body politic, encouraging us all to be angrier, dumber, and more fearful and hateful of the Other :(

That is certainly not serious question. Did you think, for any reason, that I don't know the difference? Let me save you some time. I never compared or opined about either, separately. I know what a Hijab is. Do you then know the significant difference? I certainly do. What then is your point? You find a Hijab to be Burqa light?

What doesn't make sense is that you actually believe that Omar thinks herself any less than men and that she wants Sharia law here in America, contrary to the Constitution. She's sticking it up to Trump. :lamo

I don't believe Omar is a Muslim, is she? If you know that, you are breaking news on this board. That she identifies and affiliates herself with a Muslim as part of a destructive quad certainly ought not be proof of her religious belief, only her desire to be as a hurtful, unscrupulous fellow traveler. I'm guessing you haven't actually laughed off your A*(lmao) since you still show it in your post.

I apologize up front. I stepped all over my own narrative. I bundled the quad and was certainly mistaken to write that Omar isn't of the Muslim faith. I apologize for that silly blending. I am afraid I have become so defensive when hearing of the quad, I tend to incorrectly group them.

I like my Congresswoman. Some missteps but overall she's doing fine. The performance of the other three is for people from those three districts to care about.
