How Long Have You Paid Into Medicare?

Along with my poll, I would also like to know from those have paid into the system for decades if you are OK with others raiding YOUR benefits?

(Another thread by another poster with no idea how government runs these funds and/or social safety nets.)

Medicare is (or at least was designed to be) a 'pay as you go' system - today's workers supplement the medical care benefits for today's seniors. WTF do you mean by "others raiding YOUR benefits"?

The current Medicare system would be overwhelmed by a hundred million new beneficiaries.

"How do you feel about the ACA expanding your benefits and extending the life of the trust fund, and how do you feel about those who would repeal it?" would be a good question, too, but to each his own.

Well, just in case you didn’t know the seniors paid for the generation before them too. Got that?

That was a less expensive generation. Because the seniors did nothing to address rising health care costs.

THe Medicare for all (M4A) plans/bills are not based on the current Medicare for some system. BTW, it would be far more than 100M folks covered by M4A.

It would be a misleading question which might disclose a bias but yield no useful information.
