The rules of the House of Representatives clearly state no member may call the President a racist in the House - and any member who does so is banned from speaking the rest of the day.
Nancy Pelosi is speaker of the House. She knows this. It was reminded to her. SO great a violation of House rules (which constitutes law), the black Democrat chair walked off to protest Pelosi going full anarchist renegade solely for the purpose of ranting personal insults against the President.
Nancy Pelosi now openly is an anarchist, openly is abusing her power in direct violation of law, and openly spits on the rule of law as Speaker of the House. She has psychologically and morally lost it. She should resign - and be removed if she doesn't.

Pelosi is trash, but a broken clock can be right at least once a day. Trump is a racist, there should be punishment for being a racist, not for calling a racist out.

But right now she's using the country to play one of the greatest gambles in American history. She's betting that by not holding the biggest criminal to ever hold office accountable, her party will win the next Presidential election. If she loses that gamble, nothing in her entire life history will salvage her reputation.

How do you manage to stay on this forum without understanding the difference between calling a tweet racist and calling a person racist. I mean this is simple stuff yet the whole board full of Trump supporters simply can't get it.

Two points of contention: first, if federal charges were to be levied against Trump while he is President, that would open the door to him pardoning himself & subsequently avoiding punishment, and second, it's more about holding back on impeachment to avoid a loss than to gain a win - the game is defense, not offense.

While the OP's stance is ludicrous, I don't think that splitting hairs in this manor is an effective solution. This is like saying that she only pointed out that the animal quacked she didn't say he was a duck. It implies that if you were wrong and she did in fact call him a racist that she should have to resign for that which is nonsense.
 
If you've ever had to tango with the thin line of DP rules separating saying "**** you" from "**** this" or "you're ****ed" from "this is ****ed," then you perfectly understand why this wasn't against the rules of the House of Representatives. If not, you haven't lived yet, and should take this opportunity to rectify your own insufferable civility.

What you're describing is a gamble. And pardoning himself is a moot point since the DOJ won't...and more importantly, can't...levy charges against him anyway.
 
Speaker Pelosi did not call President Trump a racist, she called his comments and tweets racist. It's a fine distinction but her words did not break Congressional rules. She should be replaced as speaker nonetheless because she is a bad speaker but not for this. Since I cannot be silenced by Congressional rules, let me make one thing perfectly clear. Based on many events over almost fifty years of Mr. Trump's personal history, in my considered opinion he is a prejudiced, bigoted, mysogynistic, xenophobic person and a very strongly racist individual.

Yes, but for none of the reasons you describe, so much as because she's pathetically weak, capitulating and vacillating 90% of the time; to give her credit, this act was one of her better moments during the other 10%.

Trump is a racist in the eyes of democrats who think all their opponents are racists. Just consider the source of the false accusations. Democrats have been overly focused on racial issues for decades and will not allow the country to heal. Americans need to throw out the false accusers and grow up, giving up the tired racist narratives lowlifes like to propagate.

Trump is a racist because he has a known, recorded history of saying and doing racist things. You're either support Trump because he's a racist, or in spite of it. Either way, you'd actually be considered honest if you would at least own it instead of try and church up Trump's bigotry.

I think Pelosi should stay. Sure, she pulled that stunt on the floor, but it only served to solidify her standing with the Jihad Squad.

Right wingers have to lie, that's all they got. Just like saying that Israeli lobbyist are buying off our politicians (which is true) is anti-semetic. THe most ironic thing, is those making that accusation are the ones being racist, that just because she mentioned money, that must mean she was making a derogatory comment about Jewish people loving money.
