Should Pelosi resign?

The "message" does not matter, what matters is the rules. The OP was about the rules, not the message. Helps to read the thread before commenting...

You got the gist of my message...

WHy do you have to lie? Here is what she said:

She called his tweets racist, not he himself. When you have to lie to set up the premise of your poll, you fail.

It is like the rules here. I can tell a poster his statements are lies ....but I get an infraction if I call him a liar.

I agree with. I’m sick of people of all stripes incorrectly throwing around the term racist as a means of vilifying people they don’t like. We’ve watered down the meaning of the word to the point where it’s synonymous with bigotry and in the bargain have trivialized those who’ve actually suffered at the hands of for real racists.

Trumps statements were not racist pure and simple. They might rise to the level of bigotry but I tend to even doubt that. They were singularly stupid and un-American and not fitting of the holder of our highest office and will no doubt cause some of his dumber supporters to do stupid things - as we’ve already seen.

They’re all that but they aren’t racist.

I agree Trump's remarks certainly were dumb and stupid. Now Trump feels he must respond to every bad word ever said about him. Create a new feud. A more political savvy or political wise, better political instincts would have ignored those four. They would have been nothing more than a humorous side show. Here and gone within a 24 hours news period.

Trump's mouth or twitter is his own worst enemy. Yes, the word racist has been watered down to a point where it doesn't mean much. Whenever the word is used against someone nowadays, one always wonders if that someone just disagrees with the Democrats ideology or political point of view or is he really a very real racist.

So you believe that this forum is modeled after Congress... :lamo

You asked what other forums use this rule, I listed another one. The majority of modern forums, both digital and physical, are descended from very similar English institutions that first started cropping up in the early to mid 1700s, so you're naturally going to see a lot of similarities.

The rules of the House of Representatives clearly state no member may call the President a racist in the House - and any member who does so is banned from speaking the rest of the day.
Nancy Pelosi is speaker of the House. She knows this. It was reminded to her. SO great a violation of House rules (which constitutes law), the black Democrat chair walked off to protest Pelosi going full anarchist renegade solely for the purpose of ranting personal insults against the President.
Nancy Pelosi now openly is an anarchist, openly is abusing her power in direct violation of law, and openly spits on the rule of law as Speaker of the House. She has psychologically and morally lost it. She should resign - and be removed if she doesn't.

Don't pretend like you have a problem with politicians abusing power. I've watched you extreme right wingers applaud it and cheer while the constitution is ignored. You clearly don't have a problem with the actions - only the person.

All I know is the current occupant of the White House is a lying sack of **** racist scumbag who likes to hide his paying off of women he has had affairs with including a porn star. A true representative of today's moral and ethical republican party.

Gee Biden admits to working well with racists. He even tried to block busing for those uppity colored. He has had several women complain about him feeling them up and was taped felling up a young girl. I would think someone with such high morals as you would be up in arms.

This is a good question. One part of me says yes she should because she doesn't have her party in order. The other part says no because she represents what a divided party looks like. The one thing that rings true is Pelosi has enemies within her own party that want to destroy her. The people running the Democrat party are AOC, her "Squad" (Omar, Tlaib, and Pressley), and AOC's manager (who runs all four of them). They're the Speakers of the House, not Pelosi. They represent EVERYTHING the Left stands for, and should be heard. Pelosi is simply a lackey, but even then, she's a good representation of what ineffectiveness is. So it's hard to say.
