Trump Not Happy With Chants

Chant or No Chant

Prediction: The next rally the chant will start 'spontaneously' and Trump will stop them with something to the effect "No, no. You're not supposed to say that. It upset some people in the media. The media is no longer satisfied with silencing me, but now they want to silence YOU!" And of course the chant will get louder and louder and Trump will let it go on and on. Afterwards, he will claim he tried to stop it. "I told them they couldn't say that. Everyone heard me. You can't blame me for this. It's what the people feel."

Yup. And his drooling fan base will actually believe him. Such children.

Watch the video. The crowd is with him, boisterous, having a good time. He doesn't want to shut them down, just redirect it a little.

The video backs him up.

Not the video I watched. He stood there looking around the same as he's done with Build that wall and Lock her up. And when he finally does speak it's not to let them know he's not happy. It's to continue on with with the same line of thought that brought on the chants. And he took no issue until the following day when he got backlash from his family and some in the GOP.

I mean I get it. I've had my fair share of defending this guy (for way longer than I care to admit) but it's like constantly having to make excuses for an alcoholic in the family. Ohh he didn't mean that, what he really meant was...

The proof will be in the next rally. For good or bad, this is water already passed.

That said, I agree that he did not tell them he was not happy. What he did do is ignore the chant, backtrack a bit and continue in theme. He treated it as a hiccup and moved on.

During the rally, Trump went on a 20-minute diatribe about the four, saying they were welcome to leave the country if they do not like his policies on issues such as immigration and defending Israel. Trump thinks that his vilification of the four will be a key part of his strategy for winning re-election in 2020. But I think the strategy will backfire and there is no point in picking on minor political figures, who should have been unknown to us without his tweets about them.

The point is, these four are ROOKIES.
President Trump wants to make four green as Hell rookies the face of the party.
The only people who are buying that are the hardcore base.
That's not enough.
Ordinary people who know that these are rookie junior reps are laughing at this and mocking the playbook because they know it can easily go in the other direction.

But the silliest part of all is, no Democrat or independent has ever expected any love from the Republicans for ANY rookie congressman on the Democratic side, so to Democrats this looks like Trump is trying to dangle a big shiny distraction.
Do all Democrats agree with "the Squad"?
No, of course not.
Some think they're the greatest thing ever, some think they're just rookies and some disagree with them.

This is just a play for the hardcore base, and the hardcore Trump base makes up about 24% of the active electorate in this country.
So, maybe spinning wild exaggerated tales and throwing out agitprop is energizing a small base at the expense of alienating everyone else.
I can guarantee you it's not forcing Democrats to defend the Squad.
The Squad is doing just fine defending themselves.

Oh please, there are GIF's out there now of him: "The King is pleased".
It's a meme now. He didn't ignore the chant, he BASKED in it.

Stood there for a slow count of ten with a ****-eating smirk on his face then went on with further badmouth. Loving it.

13 seconds, if you want to be exact. He basked in the chant for 13 seconds, and resumed speaking when the chanting died down. Afterwards, he lied and claimed that he started speaking "very quickly" to stop the chanting.

And of course it's his own statements that inspired their chants.

Or Stephen Miller’s in the TelePrompTer.

What a shameless liar. He was basking in it. Worked them up to a fever pitch attacking Omar, paused his comments to let the chant reach full volume and only proceeded after it had died down. The man simply has no shame, and of course his fans will ignore what they saw on video, and believe the lies.

These same people are the ones who denied it was Trump on the Access Hollywood tape.

He lied, as did that fraud Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy. What those two seem to forget is that most Americans are smarter than a 5th grader, and definitely smarter than a Trump supporter.

Oh yes, the ***** grabbing comments. That was Trump at his absolute classiest. He's godlike and biblical, because God always talked about grabbing *****!

I have seen it and I say BS. He was annoyed at the interruption.

:bs

Then you watched a special Fox chop-shop video and not what the rest of us watched. What was it that Trump said? Oh yeah.....

Donald Trump on July 24 said:
"Just remember, what you are seeing and what you are reading is not what's happening."

And believe it or not, there are actually dummies that fall for this :bs

There is a video posted in this thread. Let me know if there is a less edited one out there, because it looks pretty uncut.

The idea that only dummies fall for something is why the Democrats lost the working class. You called them dummies and took them for granted til they left.

Trump could rape a dog and his defenders would say he was giving it a colonoscopy.

If you have a watch that works, unedited videos show a 13 second pause by Trump.

As citations in this thread have shown, the chants were premeditated and orchestrated by Trump "rally leaders" in the audience.

A Trump rally is like a mixture of a rock concert and carnival atmosphere. People go there to have a good time. This is why people will camp out to get in.

To me it is not about the words of the chant, but rather it is about the emotion behind the words. The crowd at the rally was having fun, and the chant became a spontaneous part of the fun.

If you ever went to a professional baseball game, members of crowd will yell taunts and insults to the opposing team players. You will hear things like, throw the bum out, or go back home you loser. This is part of the fun and is not taken to heart, by the players. Their home crowd does the same thing. Leftists have too much hate in their hearts, to where they no longer have a sense of humor.

At Democrat rallies or counter rallies, there is a lot of hate and anger. The leftist are projecting their own hate and anger, and assume these words were based on that angry foundation. They cannot understand friendly taunting. If you watch the crowd, they were smiling like someone at a ball game, to a creative taunter, who comes up with clever stuff, that even the opposing players laugh at.

The left is so full of internal stress and battle fatigue, that they no longer know how to have fun. I suggest watching the crowd at the rally and you will not see anger, but rather fun, excitement and audience participation.

PC has purposely confused words and emotions. It defines hate speech by words even when there is no hate. It also ignores hate if the words are not on their list. All insults against Trump have a hate foundation but that is not called hate speech, even if it is fueled by hate. Fake News is also Hate News. A rational mind judges by the emotion, since this tells you the unconscious intention. Buzz words first is backwards, irrational and emotionally deceptive.

Guess all I would say is it's easy for us right now read and seeing what happened. 10 seconds is not that long?
It's the armchair quarterback... always much easier to call the play after the fact.

It is literally like you spent your entire life learning how to rationalize just to get ready for Trump.

Trump was the only one there with a microphone. It was Trump's rally. Trump interrupts crowds all the time when he wants to say something to them. Yet Trump stood there and said nothing. You got to be the dumbest mother ****ers on earth to think that Trump was not basking in those chants.

Watch the video because Trump's not pleased. He's irritated

I know enough public speaking to understand reading an audience. The speaker allows the audience to to express emotion rather than trying to quell the emotion. After the outburst, he went right back to just before where he left off. It did not fit in with what he was presenting, but he wanted to keep the sentiment. The only way to conclude he was basking is to not have an open mind or not watch the video. Both are fixable.

Is there a difference? He struck his Mussolini pose.

Sure..........

A guy that tweeted they should go back to their countries was then irritated at the crowd for saying exactly what he had said in his tweets, but despite having a microphone, he did not feel the need to say anything.

You get an A for rationalization.

He didn't backtrack at all at the rally. He continued bashing "the squad" just as he was doing before the chants. His backtracking came the next day when he misrepresented his reactions as the time.

So, the "lock her up" chants were just people having fun too? No hate at all? Is it just fun times chanting about force-ably deporting people. By all means continue with this line of rationalization. I'm looking forward to more fun chants during the campaign.

Here backtrack means repeating a sentence or two.

As you say, the next day he walked back not just the chant but the original tweet. This is not to say he apologized, just acknowledged it was over the top. OTOH no one ever apologizes to him, either.
