The creation of the DHS and the various anti-terror laws in the U.S. that suspend habeas corpus are why my family left the United States. The way rights have been eroded since 9/11 is just unacceptable. Even the right to protest has changed.

We only know a fraction of civil liberties the DHS is violating due to whistle blowers. The truth is likely far worse and horrifying. We don't need this kind of gestapo in the United States. We already have the FBI and CIA. What the government did was enact a law that says it's OK for one agency to violate the Constitution, and nobody has really challenged it.

I agree with AOC on this one. The DHS should've had a built in expiry date instead of becoming a permanent fixture in our polity. We don't need this level of "security" and control.

What we needed was a Hillary Clinton Administration abusing DHS like Trump has. Then, it would have been shut down.

You do understand the difference between a cabinet-level department, like DHS, from alphabet soup agencies, like BATF, correct?

A distinction without a difference. Let's get rid of them all.

Well, when they claim to be for 'small government' what they mean is 'don;t give welfare to people of color'. Spending on the military, state security apparatus, spying and of course entertaining mistresses, must increase threefold.
