It's a little known secret in the competition swimming fraternity that coaches threaten to have their male swimmers balls waxed if they don't train hard enough or swim fast enough. The Australian coaches joke about putting a crocodile in the pool to encourage their swimmers. well.. one coach didn't joke - he actually did it.

I'm not a great swimmer but if someone threatened me with testicle waxing or swim faster - you can be damn sure I'd break national swimming records... :cool:
 
Yesterday, the BC Human Rights Tribunal had another hearing pertaining to the JY #waxmyballs saga. This case was seperate from the 3 consolidated cases that are being used to test the validity of complaints.

Since Canada is populated with spineless cowards, an independent journalist has been reporting on hearings. You can read about yesterdays case here.

- they want two people banned from all hearings
- they are going to apply for $500,000.00 (half a million) in costs against @JCCFCanada for misconduct
- says they want, basically, a closed hearing
- says Parent identified, against rules
-says harassed in real life
- shows water bottle on which they have stuck a sticker pulled off a post in XXX, sticker claims JY is a sexual predator

JY also complains about the person reporting on the hearings, The Members deny JY's request, they see no reason to close the hearings.

PY threatens reporter

JY proceeds to portray themself as a victim while questioning JT

JY calls parent to testify, PY lies their ass off for JY. PY portrays them and JY as victims.

PY is leaving Canada with family, will exhume their own parents.

PY misgenders JY multiple times.

Bubbie nearly plotzed from kvetching, Oy vey.

And my 2 favorite parts of the whole case.
PY says
- they are not racist
- but race and religion have been used against JY
- their position is two points: wanted to ask SGF (father of SG from last @JurisCameron case)...

PY then breaks off to say that they think the Tribunal shouldn't have let SGF use a translator. Why did the Tribunal agree? Says their tax dollars paid for the translator, doesn't want their money going to the translator. Says of SGF, how long in Canada? SGF should know english.

PY continues, "can't force religion and culture on us". Human rights should trump religion, every religion. Is translator there when SGF does daily things? Why do they get to "use religion to waste Tribunal time?"

I assume that you run this the other way as well. If you want the MtF to use the men's restroom, then the FtM has to use the Female restroom?

But, yes, if a FtM person still has female private parts, then that person should use the women's restroom, for that person would still have to sit down in order to do No. 1, wouldn't that person?

Ok so it's what parts they currently have, correct? A MtF that has has bottom surgery and now has a vagina instead of a penis gets to use the women's restroom now?

Not sure what sitting down to piss has to do with anything. I sit down to piss at times for a variety of reasons, and don't we all use essentially what is used in the women's restroom at home. The only reasons urinals exist is "real estate". You can fit more into a given area than toilets, which explains why men's lines are usually shorter than women's.

I am so confused.


No doubt that I did not express my ideas clearly.

Let me try one more time.

If a woman says that she is a man, that is fine, of course.

But if the woman still has a vagina (and no penis), then this person who is now a man must still sit down to urinate. Am I right?

So it seems only fair for this person to use the women's restroom.

As I typed this response, I began to (maybe) realize that why some people would prefer that this person use the men's restroom. This person may still have a vagina, but this person may dress like a man. So this person, some people might say, should use the men's restroom, where this person (with a vagina) can simply use one of the stalls for No. 1.

Am I right?

I promise you: I will no longer read or reply to any transgender thread. It's too much for this 82-year-old, who can barely understand the usual genders: straight, gay, and bisexual.

Knowing the correlation between marginalization and suppression and individual acts of misbehaviour, I would not be surprised to learn the proportion of miscreants who are transgender is higher than the general population. It usually is with oppressed groups.

This is the first time you've brought this up and this blog incident isn't linked to the other stories about the OP case. This came up out of the blue, at least as far as many of us are concerned. Maybe it's getting air time on Canadian news, but since I don't even watch US news anymore...

Even so, while this sheds more light on the individual, it is meaningless regarding businesses and their treatment, or lack thereof, of trans. And for that, the question is what is being offered, and was it clearly worded?

First off, anyone using Tapatalk, as I commonly but not always do, can't see sigs. And yeah, if it's in another thread that you didn't reference here in this thread, I would have no way to know to go look.

And I really get that this particular individual is a twat waffle....sorry, that was mean of me. I shouldn't insult the twat waffles like that....that doesn't change the overall issue, which is what the OP asked.

Now mind you, I am of the mindset that a private owned business should be allowed to refuse service or product to anyone for any reason. Christian? Too bad, not here. Gay? Move along. White? Nick off!

That said, if we are going to have it so businesses can't say no on certain basis, we need to establish where the various lines are. The issue is larger than the case.

As I have noted before, given the existence of trans, the business has to be specific as to what they are offering. If it is female sex genitalia only, then cis women, pre-op trans men and post op trans woman can get the service. It is women only, then only cis women and trans women, both pre and post op, can recieve the service.

It's weird to me this is even an issue. Thank God, it's Canada. Here's the issue for me: Let me first off say, I do not know the specific details here. But it sounds to me, we have the issue of training rather than discrimination. If the beauticians are not trained in waxing male genitalia, they shouldn't be forced to do the service. But if they are trained to do both biological males and females, they have to serve the person, regardless if they agree with the person's gender expression.

I also agree with an another poster, arguing that a penis is not a gender. A person's junk has nothing to do with concepts of psychology and cultural identification.
