I do not "shoot" anything. So...what "other animals actually belong here" and why do you believe that YOU are the one to make that decision. I have NO regrets for doing the right thing by feeding the colony and making sure they cannot reproduce.

I love cats-have three-spent thousands of dollars on ones who had complex medical issues. If I see feral cats around my home, I don't kill them because I could be mistaken and they might be roaming pets. If I am out in farmland hunting and I see them-I shoot them. The landowners ask me to

My daughter is a cat lover, and we have a small calico who gave birth to 3 kittens 3 months ago next week.
Four days ago the 3 kittens disappeared, and yesterday we found they had been cat-napped and taken about 15 miles from home, where they were given to someone who didn't like cats but was trying to sell them. Someone we knew there happened to see a photo of them for sale called to tell us where they were, and we just got them back today. The smallest one has an injured back leg, but not life threatening.
Turned out it was our next door neighbour who took them to his ex wife claiming them to be strays, in hopes of earning some money as one of them, uniquely coloured, was offered for sale at $35.
We have a total of 7 cats who roam freely, with no complaints from anyone as most everyone farms rice and has problem with rats which our cats prefer over other animals. They usually bring them home to show us before eating them. We also had 3 monkeys, now just 2 since one died and had to build them a a 3 story house to keep them safe. They too liked to roam around, eating fruit, but humans now have taken their territory and our 2 are the last remaining alive in this area.
