Should Trump resign?

When one side has to abuse the official investigatory process and try to erroneously evoke Impeachment, it says how broken our system's becoming. Perfectly intelligent people are letting their emotions cloud their judgment and thinking to the extremes.

Yeah, that's what I do, relish and celebrate corruption, 'cause you say, I'm "laughably ignorant"

Like I said above....

Indeed. You have no idea what's in the report, and you celebrate the massive corruption detailed in it w/out bothering to understand it. Par for the course.

I understand. It's too painful to face the fact that Trump is corrupt to the gills. It would absolutely demolish his sycophants' world, but that won't change the facts.

Wrong.

I know that's too painful for you and others to be able to face, but it won't change the reality of it.

I don't really care if it's too painful for them to accept reality because tomorrow, Trump haters still gonna' hate.

Wow. When/where did that actually happen?

I've commented on your nonsense. You ignore facts. If Trump did everything you said, AG Barr would have said so, and so would have Mueller....
You have nothing. You are fear mongering... Nothing in the report proves Trump is intentionally corrupt as you have ignorantly alleged.

He instructed Don McGahn to fire Mueller due to imaginary conflicts of interest, among other things.

Page 220: "The conclusion that Congress may apply the obstruction laws to the President's corrupt exercise of the powers of office accords with our constitutional system of checks and balances and the principle that no person is above the law." IOW, impeach him.

Page 300: "Substantial evidence, however, supports the conclusion that the President ... directed McGahn to call Rosenstein to have the Special Counsel removed. First, McGahn's clear recollection was that the President directed him to tell Rosenstein ... 'Mueller has to go.'"

Page 370: "The President's efforts to influence the investigation were mostly unsuccessful, but that is largely because the persons who surrounded the President declined to carry out orders or accede to his requests." That they were unsuccessful is irrelevant to the fact that he made attempts.

When is the last time I suggested that Democrats NOT impeach? I'm 100% of the opinion that they SHOULD impeach and have expressed that opinion dozens if not hundreds of times around here. Granted, I want them to impeach because I firmly believe that doing so will blow up in their faces but I have ALWAYS advocated for impeachment.

Sorry, but those facts add up to "Trump is innocent," according to the Special Prosecutor and the DOJ.

Mueller specifically says that he could not conclude that Trump is innocent. He lays out numerous episodes of Trump obstructing justice. A president should be beyond reproach, Trump is not and should leave office.

I think the country is quite sick of the entire Trump / Russia / Collusion / Obstruction / Election controversy. Now that we have FBI vetted proof, would resignation not be the best thing for the country? Impeachment is ugly and would guarantee a couple more years of this crap and I don't think anyone really wants it, especially if it will be blocked by Republicans.

Should Trump resign?

I would recommend that all of the people who've been obsessing over it get a job or a hobby or otherwise take up some useful non-pathological activity to occupy their time.

Newp. I haven't ignored any facts, nor can you demonstrate that I have.

You are simply willfully, gleefully ignorant of the the Mueller reports actually shows. Barr is running interference for Trump, misrepresenting what's in the report, and acting his defense lawyer. Mueller made clear that the president’s obstruction of the F.B.I. and special counsel investigations crossed constitutional boundaries that could have merited criminal prosecution, if not for the Justice Department’s policy against indicting sitting presidents. He laid out a blueprint for Congress to use in their investigation into this.

The report clearly shows Trump was (and is) intentionally corrupt.

Why lie about all this? What's the point?

Wow. When/where did that actually happen?

Both parties have been ramping up the investigation process on every POTUS since Bill Clinton and now they want to repeat it on Trump.

Your opinion on impeachment is irrelevant to what I posted. Qu'elle surprise!

So where, exactly, and when have the dems actually done what you've claimed? "abuse the official investigatory process and try to erroneously evoke Impeachment"?

I'm simply not seeing it.

Resign over what? The guy was cleared of the collusion lie. If anyone should resign it should be those on the left that have spread this lie over the last two years.

Or at least be held accountable for this injustice. And I believe that day is just around the corner where some heads are going to roll .

The FBI DOESN'T have vetted proof. That's the point. The Mueller report states that there was NO evidence of collusion nor obstruction. I read through it and it states that. They confirmed the (pee) dossier written by Christopher Steele was false information. All Mueller did, and the other people involved in this report (including Trump), gave their OPINIONS. That's NOT a basis for impeachment nor to resign. When Mueller in this report said that this doesn't exonerate Trump, that was strictly an opinion because he's not a prosecutor in this case. The REAL fact, again, was that he and his team found NO evidence. It's frustrating to hear you Leftists talk because your conclusions on cases like this are based on pure delusion and fantasy. You sound STUPID every time you ask STUPID questions like this after the fact the report says, again, NO evidence of obstruction nor collusion. You want to know my conclusion on you Leftists on this report? YOU DIDN'T READ IT!!! If for some odd reason you did, you saw the no crime parts and simply ignored them so you can feel better.

I have a REAL question instead of this "Should Trump Resign" crap: If he gets called to testify before Congress, will you accept Robert Mueller's answer of no collusion and no obstruction in his report? Because in the end, all the other stuff doesn't matter. What really matters is the end result. But would you Leftists accept his answer of no collusion and no obstruction, if he's called to testify? To me, it's rhetorical because I know the answer, but I'd still like to hear it.

WHAAAT!

Has the whole Mueller Investigation eluded your keen sensory process? Or certain Dems calling for Impeachment. Do you want details?

Nope

I prefer he suffer the humiliation of an election and popular vote defeat. But the Dems will probably screw the pooch once again giving the man child 4 more years.

Has the whole Mueller Investigation eluded your keen sensory process? Or certain Dems calling for Impeachment. Do you want details?

A. The dems didn't start the Mueller investigation. That was done by a lifelong conservative republican
B. The investigation hasn't been carried out in an abusive manner, nor can you show that it has.
C. Dems calling for his impeachment isn't abusing any investigatory process.

What are you babbling about?

I tell my subordinates to rob a bank...they tell me to pound sand and the bank doesnt get robbed.....was there a crime?
i tell my subordinates to shoot someone.....they tell me, "nope, not gonna happen boss".....was there a crime committed?

this is the same thing....what Trump wanted, and what he got were two different things

he wanted Mueller gone.....he was told in no uncertain terms by numerous people that would be bad for him, and they refused

So his directives were NEVER CARRIED out.....doesnt matter on intent....

if intent were enough, a LOT more people would be in JAIL....actions matter....not thoughts or words for the most part

I think this country is now learning with the release of the report that Democrats and the media have been lying to the American people for over two years. Trump isn't going to resign he has no reason to. Now your only hope of trying to get him out of office is impeachment. So have at it. I am not a betting woman but if the Democrats in the House decide to go down that road or even rehash what Mueller has concluded dragging this crap out for another year and a half the American people will not look kindly on them. Today we saw Democrats trashing Barr because his message was not what they wanted to hear because it deflates the lying narrative they have been feeding the public. G-d you people are a sad bunch.

Utterly irrelevant as to whether his directives were never carried out. It's the intent and him acting on that intent. Which the Mueller report clearly shows he did.

That's OOJ.

They trashed Barr because he misrepresented what was in the report.

It's likely nothing you'd be interested in.

Robert Mueller was appointed special counsel to take over the previous FBI investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein after the recusal of Attorney General Jeff Sessions. This Russian connection veered off into the realm of a Trump investigation because he had some previous financial dealings with them and this was a Red Herring proffered by the House Democrats plan to use the oversight powers of Congress to look into Trump's finances and other aspects of his presidency. ABUSE!

resign for what exactly?

to make you feel better?

do you need a blankie and a safe space?

i dont believe the President has been convicted or even tried for even crimes....

and the report is have been reading leads me to believe he will not be....

are we reading the same report?

Nixon wasn't convicted or tried for crimes either. I think you missed the point of his post, which was a question, not a reason to attack him. And not being convicted or tried has nothing to do with his question and post.

And the Republicans are getting out the pitchforks wanting to retroactively impeach Obama and hang Hillary Clinton the public square. The partisanship is on both sides. Who would it make feel better to go after Obama and Clinton (for the umpteenth time)? Or are you saying that Republicans need a blankie and a safe space? I'd agree with that.

He did no such thing. But then you all have a history of questioning what the definition of is is.
