CBS has now called for the use of violence against political dissidents, and has called for the assassination of the President.

Should CBS be banned?

At the very least they should lose their Twitter account.

The YouTube channel you pulled this from (Culttture) is far-right and virulently anti-Muslim and anti-left.

In addition, video's can be easily edited/modified. Fox News is the communications appendage and training-ground for Trump White House hires.

It is to Moron Trump.

What say you? Is the only violence in this world due to Trump? A somewhat recent poll of Democrats and Republicans showed that more Democrats than Republicans just wished the other side would die off and more Democrats than Republicans said that if the other side wins the 2020 election, violence would be justified.

Trump and his TDS supporting Trumpkins have declared war on America, its institutions, its norms and its people. They reap what they have sowed and it is on them.

Your can't read and comprehend very well at all.
Fascinating how you make up everything to fit your tiny, pathetic little world view.

Let me understand your reasoning, such as it is... you think CBS called for the use of violence against political dissidents because they aired a DRAMA SERIES that had assassination as part of the script, which is not unique. The idea that making a drama about assassination means that CBS advocates assassination is preposterous. Moreover, there is no poll choice that reads: "No, CBS did nothing wrong."

Perhaps the American movie industry should be considered a terrorist group because they made these films that had assassination as part of the script:
The Day of The Jackel (1974)
In The Line of Fire (1993)
Chain of Command (2000)
Vantage Point (2008)
Nothing But the Truth (2008)
The Dark Knight (2008)
Red (2010)
White House Down (2013)

I couldn't think of a more bat-**** crazy idea for a thread.

After the left successfully lables all dissenters Nazi's thats the world we are gonna live in, all those cars being jumped on and everyone just punching eachother.

People can throw white babies off mall balconies but if a white man did it there would be riots in the streets.

I just dont get how someone punching someone because they THOUGHT they were a Nazi isnt a hate crime. I mean if you punch someone just for being black its a hate crime but if they THOUGHT you were a Nazi and punched you its not a hate crime?

On the same token if they aired the same commercial but it was Nazi's saying how they want to get rid of the scum and clean up society you wouldnt be touting the "its just fantasy" card. Youd crucify them.

What are you writing, exactly -- that a pointed commercial with a message is the same as a fictional TV show? Is that really an equivalence?

If there was a fictional Nazi show with them claiming how they need to clean up the "scum" walking through America you'd **** your pants. Simple point really.

The show is fictitious, and I can't abide the idea of the state punishing a broadcaster for airing a call to arms by a fictitious character.

At the same time, shows with assassinations and targeted violence as part of the plot line should, at the very least, have the respect (and simply the good sense) to make the targets fictional characters. Anyone watching this show ought to seriously consider the messages they're promoting by continuing to watch--and thereby finance--it.

It seems profoundly ironic that the show is titled "The Good Fight" whilst rioting mobs destroy property in the background and a man calmly explains to the audience the need for violence in effecting political change.

Does anyone know whether the character is a protagonist or antagonist on the show? That is, are the producers glorifying the depicted behaviour or are they showcasing the dangerous character of radicalism?

This is what happened:
"The tweet showed a screengrab from the show’s fictional NSA office, including a list of standalone 'target words' the series’ NSA characters should look out for while conducting anonymous wire taps in an effort to protect the President and the public," the statement continued. "However, the tweet was regrettably posted without that context, in an effort to direct fans to find an 'Easter Egg' clue, in reference to a past character on 'The Good Wife,' Kalinda, listed in the second column of the list, and the fact that the NSA is still monitoring her in the fictional world of the show.

"The post was perceived very differently than the intended result and has since been removed," the statement concluded.

Should the CBS tweeter have had a second pair of eyes on that or perhaps looked at it as it posted before leaving it for the world to see? That's a big fat yeah. They were reported to the Secret Service and they'll deal with CBS.

Banned from what? Whatever you are suggesting CBS should be banned from, for a numbskulled post like that, I vote no. Not even close.

Because you read something from right-wing (or left for that matter) sources, doesn't not make it true. There is lots of false stuff being passed on as news.

Recently there was a rumor that Trump had pardoned Bernie Madoff, posted on facebook. I looked it up, and could find no evidence that he had pardoned him. There were articles that he had considered pardoning him (in 2017). So, at least try to verify stuff, folks.

This was supposed to be an “Easter egg”, so the person responsible should be charged. The left needs a reminder that the laws apply to them again.

They are hoping some nut job gets all bundled up and takes Trump out, that much is obvious.

We don’t “ban” media things in this country.
this^^^^ much as I dislike CNN, MSNBC...I don’t wannna see them banned, that would be the beginning of the end, people are smart contrary what many here think, they see everything and can sniff bull**** out like a college girl at a frat party.

Where is the "none of the above" box? Where is the outrage about calling for violence on the media? Hint: There isn't any. Those were "trigger" words and obviously the bat**** cray-crays were triggered by a fictional show on pay-channel which most people don't even watch.
