Trump wasn't/isn't letting them in the country, though.

He would be if he thought it was beneficial to him politically. He sure employed them though. Trump is no different from any other GOP politician who only uses the issue of illegal immigration to rile up right wing rubes and racists. It's all done purely for votes.

Yep, it seems he is essentially hanging out the "Welcome" sign.

What Trump believes is a "stick-it to 'em" will likely essentially back fire on Trump. If this policy is pursued, these locations will develop programs to humanely embrace these displaced peoples and well assimilate them into American culture. Meanwhile, it will likely make Trump look like he surrendered, after to appearing to have shown his dictatorial propensities by running ram-shod over the law. This is a lose-lose for Trump.

Trump was a fool for not swapping his wall for DACA/immigration reform two years ago. He received very bad advice for Miller/Kelly. They both should be fired (wait, one was)... So now Trump is treading water in rough seas.

The GOP had the whole government for 2 years to fix the immigration problem.. .. They did NOTHING!!!! Now that the Dems took the House they are blaming the problem on the Dems.. And unfortunately the mindless Trumpsters will fall for the Fox News and GOP lies and propaganda.

Can't fix stupid..

You can fix stupid through education, but the Republicans can not win with an educated electorate, so they will continue to do everything they can to continue to dumb down America (see also Betty DeVos) .

Hi X. How goes the rescue game?

So awesome. I drove about an hour and a half to pick up a baby cottontail that was about the size of a potato chip and take it to the rehabilitator and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Yes, of course. Why would any Democrat oppose this?

Democrats don't like this because they know crime will spike and the area will turn into a ****hole and they can't have America see that. They need them spread around everywhere. Obama tried to bus them here to Cape Cod and rich democrats revolted and put a stop to that too sweet. They want illegals here just not in their neighborhood...only yours.

No, it's not. I don't like the idea of using people as tools of political revenge.

So how is sending illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities political revenge. This is what the liberal leadership of those cities has pretty much asked to happen by granting sanctuary status to begin with. Why would you or those living in a sanctuary city be offended. The left wants to allow illegals to come into the country. The left wants to allow them to live in sanctuary cities and defy federal law. Sounds like a match made in heaven. We don't separate families, we don't "cage" them. We send them to a place that wants them even though they are illegally here, and doesn't care if they have criminal backgrounds, or any skills by which to support themselves. Somehow liberal think thats revenge? Just sounds like a reasonable compromise..

You're a good man, X. You know how much I love stories like that!

My husband and I are doing a transport tomorrow of a litter of puggle puppies whose mom (stray) was hit by a car. I can't wait to hold them. Then I have to fly to London on Sunday for business. I'm going to think about them on the entire trip (while I'm awake haha).

It's worked. Look how many Trump supporters twist themselves into pretzels about these horrible illegals coming here to rape and kill us all.

Trump knows better than anyone I've ever seen how to play his supporters. Only one person in history ever did it better. That would be Jim Jones.

Perhaps but that's not how it was being presented.

We need to start brainstorming on better and efficient yet still humane means of processing people detained at the border.

Shouldn't matter how its presented. Bright caring liberals ought to jump at the chance to help these illegals, I mean undocumented immigrants.

They tried this in the 2018 mid-terms, and the result was 60 million people voting for the Dems and against the GOP. It would be political suicide for them to try it again in 2020, but Trump and the GOP aren't exactly "smart, so...

Thats so awesome! I flew in a netjet to Atlanta today and negotiated a sweet deal for a famous youth club to have managed IT services available paid for by other charitable orgs today. Cool stuff, kudos to you!

~San Francisco here we come ! Drop-off point : Nancy P's estate .

Because it was an absurd illegal vindictive scheme. Right up there with Trump's hateful Disneyland comment, tho to be fair it wasn't his idea. And it wasn't Democrats that choked on this. Even Republicans couldn't stomach it.

It's a good common sense answer to the democrats constant complaining about detaining illegals and separating families. As usual its the common sense part liberals don't get. Their answer is always blame Trump. Well I have news for you Trump didn't create the problem and is trying to solve it without any reasonable help from democrats who can only look at 2020 and any means or any neglect of the country in the meantime.

Oh yeah, it worked. It was the only way a former Democrat and Clinton supporter could convince millions of Republicans and so called "conservatives" voters that he was their new savior. Immigration, race, and the phony birther issue is what got Trump the GOP nomination and presidency. All of that reflects very poorly on Republican voters...except the ones like yourself who saw through Trump's race baiting charade.

Awww. That is the one down side to transporting or working with wildlife, you have to be as hands off as possible. You’re good people too, Tres. Have you been to London before?

As deeply convicted as I was in 2016 that I wouldn't vote for him, the last 2+ years made me even more adamant. I would never, ever support a man like Donald Trump. Ever.

History will be kind to Republicans like you, IMO.

Glad to see you think it is a fantastic and legal idea.

Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and hundreds of other Democrat officials could be called as witnesses for Trump to confirm that the more immigrants a city receives, the better and more prosperous the city becomes. Drop a million illegal migrants in San Francisco and it would therefore become the best and richest city in the country, if not the world - and tax income rolling in like crazy - according to the Democratic Party. Nancy Pelosi would be thanking them all for coming to her District.

So how would this "burden" the city? According to the Democratic Party it would make the city rich and vastly better.

By now it should be clear to all but the most stubbornly obtuse, Janus faced swindlers of the left, that this is yet one more example of the immoral and intellectually corrupt excuses of the cheese cloth open borders crowd.

The brick wall dumb alibi making is stunning: we are told "sanctuary cites for any illegal" is not what it says it is - sanctuary for 10s of millions to hide from the INS...oh no, we are told its really just because they want increased crime reporting by illegals...who shouldn't be here, utilizing American law enforcement, to begin with.

Adding to their Bizarro world reasoning, as you pointed out, is their claim that even the "undocumented" are wonderful - doing all those jobs that Americans won't do, paying there own way in taxes, and even reducing crime in Sanctuary jurisdictions - UNTIL Trump threatens send them to the illegal loving Sanctuary jurisdictions. Then, without the slightest shame, they are screaming like scalded cats, whining that THEY don't want all those great "undocumented" benefits in THEIR blue cities.

I guess these kind of people resent when they are forced to live by their own moral dictates.

Heaven forbid a busload show up in Malibu. LOL....

Oh yes, many times. I go every few months. More so this year. I think this is my 4th trip there. One of my favorite cities in the world. I always manage to sneak in some Tres time to visit my favorite haunts. Love it there.

I know what you're saying about wildlife. I know I couldn't do it because I can't keep my hands off baby animals. But one day I'll try it. My husband does some work with the raptor sanctuary in VT when he can.

Nice work, Rev, for real.

I'd like to believe that. I hope you're right. At the very least I can look at myself in the mirror knowing I am in no way responsible for this man being in the Oval Office.

Yes. Democrats want 'em...then I say GIVE THEM TO 'EM!

Then sit back and laugh when Democrats screech hypocrisy about how they don't want them in their towns.

History won't be kind to the Trump presidency, AND THE 90% of Republican voters who supported/worshipped him. The few GOP voters and politicians like McCain and Kasich who didn't support him will be the winners when it's all said and done. I have no doubt that down the line (and probably the moment he's out of office), the GOP will shun Trump, and do everything they can to try and distance themselves from him. They only support him now because he's still president, and is implementing an agenda they support. Well that, and he pisses off the dems, which is the main "drive" behind modern American Conservatism led by Donald Trump.

I'm waiting for the day when they start saying that they never supported him in the first place. Look how many of them lie and say "Oh we knew Mexico wouldn't pay for the wall".

Like I said, only Jim Jones did it better. Look how well that worked out for his supporters.
