Redeeming Trump Qualities.

Except Trump being "successful" is not good for the country. Not short term, and not long term. There exists no scenario where Trump could get what he wants and have that be a beneficial thing to our nation.

Trump has had historical value. Donald Trump has proven the old American truism. Anybody in this country can aspire to become President. Absolutely Anybody.
 
I think people misunderstand what President Trump is.
He is Machiavelli's Prince.
When you hire Machiavelli's Prince to do the job, you have to understand that he was never a nice guy.
The only saving grace, is when his goals align with the goals that benefit the state.
In Trump's case, I think they do, or at least more so than Hillary's would have.

I'm saying there are good and bad points to everyone. I defended Obama from the right's utter nonsense and I defend Trump from the left's utter nonsense. I didn't vote for Trump in the primaries or the general so he wasn't who I wanted president. The left would have you believe that Trump is 100% all bad.

The economy is booming. The wall is meant to enforce EXISTING IMMIGRATION LAWS. Trade imbalances are in your mind a great thing. The restrictions on Muslims from the 7 states OBAMA HIMSELF declared un safe makes the US safer.....

You might as well talk about the Whigs, as you are skipping over what happened in 1964 and the years following. Southern whites became republicans, southern blacks became democrats, both in response to civil rights legislation which Goldwater, the GOP candidate, opposed. LBJ predicted it. Nixon referred to it as a "southern strategy." My childhood hero, Jackie Robinson, switched parties that year. The (white) "Solid South" remained solid, just switched parties. And since then, from Nixon's "law and order," to Reagan's welfare queens and "strapping young bucks" to Bush's Willie Horton to Donald Trump's lies about black on white homicide, politicians have exploited racial fear. Democrats such as the Clintons haven't been immune to the temptation either.

Those aren't qualities. Those are actions (the first ones you listed). Trump has nothing to do with unemployment in minority communities. Attempts to do something also aren't qualities.

If someone said "list Reagan's greatest qualities", adults would understand that "Sandra Day O'Connor" isn't an answer.
