How many terms will Ocasio Cortez serve until primaried out of Congress?

How many terms will Ocasio Cortez is primaried out of Congress?

With the accusation that she has major FEC violations, she may not finish this one.

Sadly it's not looking good for her. She'll be sentenced to 5 but will probably end up doing 2.

Please somebody tell me this is just a bad dream!

She and her couple of radical buddies are going to become a nightmare for Pelosi and when that happens Pelosi will find a way to get rid of them.

Why do i get this feeling this all has to do with what race she is!!!!

Considering she, today, is still very popular in her district? AS MANY AS SHE ****ING WANTS!

Re: How many terms will Ocasio Cortez is primaried out of Congress?

That would be hilarious if the DNC gerrymandered the district in a way that prevents her reelection. After the way Bernie was treated, that would likely cause a permanent rift within the party likely leading to the formation of a seperate Progressive/Socialist party.

That would be wonderful for the country... LOL...

Re: How many terms will Ocasio Cortez is primaried out of Congress?

She’s going to stay in the House until she runs for president and wins.

She is going to win the primary and the general bigly.

To the extent that money buys elections, she has a huge advantage. People all over the country are already contributing to her campaign. This may not sound unusual, but it is. It's very rare that congressional candidates get contributions from people outside of their voting district (with the exception of corporations trying to purchase congress critters). Most people only care about the people who will be on their own ballot. AOC has captured the attention of progressives across the nation. She won in 2016 with almost no funding, she will win again, but this time without the amazing effort that she put forth getting her name out there, and without the monetary limitations.

At the rate she is going it may be just 1. Her stance on losing the 25,000 jobs from Amazon's decision not to move to New York should cause outrage among New Yorkers. She was all too happy about Amazon not coming. Typical of her, ask a question and she comes up with a dumb answer.

Her district happens to already have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country. No one lost a potential job due to Amazon deciding not to locate there, and Amazon pays **** wages. Also, millions of dollars of land which is now bringing in property tax revenue would have been converted to revenue-less land due to the property tax giveaways that Amazon was demanding. The only people upset about it or blaming AOC are the people who didn't vote for her, she has lost no supporters over this.

Re: How many terms will Ocasio Cortez is primaried out of Congress?

A larger number than you probably think or hope.

At this stage AOC could snap her fingers and have a million bucks in $15 increments show up in her and the DNCC's coffers.

She already has.

Re: How many terms will Ocasio Cortez is primaried out of Congress?

So, would she be paying the 70% tax she wants on the rich? or would that be the typical "not me, them".

Political donations are not taxable.

I have to admit, this does seem to be the Trump Principle in action (but without the rampant crime, scams, lies, bigotry, xenophobism and conspiracy with a hostile foreign power).

I've said the same thing. She is an outsider to government just like Trump, and she believe that we should have a huge deficit, just like Trump. She says stuff that a lot of people find to be outrageous, just like Trump. It's a lot of the same appeal, just to a different crowd. Personally, I like her.

I don't know. It'll be up to her Party. But I suspect she won't be there more than one term.

It seems there already are people in her Party who want her gone...and she knows it.

The more she screws things up, the more likely the Democratic Party will kick her to the curb.

I don't think that the DNC will challenge her. If they support a neo-liberal in the primary, and if that neo-liberal loses, then it will appear that the far left branch has won out. The establishment doesn't want to take that chance. AOC can now out money the DNC and her fans are zealots, just like Trumpers are, and they aren't going to drop their support for her - they knew what they were getting before they elected her.

I didn't vote because who knows? Are the majority of her constituents as ignorant and of a socialist mindset as she is then she could be around for years. All I know right now is every time AOC opens her mouth it is solid gold for the GOP. She is the yellow highlighter that is on just how radical a good number in the Democratic party have become. And she is the one that is making Howard Shultz running as an Independent look real good to many as a viable possibility as someone Democrats could vote for.

She is also embolding the progressive wing. They will donate to her election in droves, and campaign for her like never seen before.

She's a sideshow - let's be real.

She's a great advocate for government accountability. Her point that members of Congress were hypocrites to take pay while the government was shutdown really hit home with a lot of people.

Beyond that, she's not really informed about any policy matters enough to be leader. She makes a great landmine for the right-wing though.

She is learning a lot very quickly. I'm sure she has a lot more mistakes to make, but sometimes being young and dumb is an advantage. She doesn't know that she can't do something, so she just does it, while more seasoned politicians know that they can't, so they never try.

Re: How many terms will Ocasio Cortez is primaried out of Congress?

Nonsense. The moves to unseat her in her own district are strong and growing. She's not bringing home the bacon. There are already 7 different Hispanic candidates vying for her seat, four are young women. You don't know her constituency, many who fled leftist nations. She was elected for her ethnicity, not her policies and mouth. She doesn't understand the game, and should pay attention to Chuck who always brought home the bacon to Brooklyn. But she spurns any advice.

She apparently understands her district far better than "Chuck"...she beat him. None of those other candidates are going to be able to match her name recognition or her campaign budget, and the voters will fall in line for their party, just like they always do, when it comes time for the general election
.

I tried to add some interpretation to your question. I don't think that she will be defeated in a primary. While many of your assertions are correct, I surmise that she will either run for President in 2024 or someone who wants her out of the way will give her a no-show high paying job. It's obvious that she's a political prostitute and definitely for sale.

Why is that obvious? I must be missing the clues.

Re: How many terms will Ocasio Cortez is primaried out of Congress?

What would be more hilarious is if the district is gerrymandered and she still wins.

Except then it would just be a conspiracy that the DNC "tried" to unseat her, it would give them plausible deniability that they never intended such. If Bernie had won against Hillary then the underhandedness of the Hillary campaign and DNC would have been forgotten much sooner than it had.

Chuck who?

She defeated Joe Crowley, a glad handing bag of wind. Not by much, just enough.

Name recognition and twits mean nothing. Soccer in her district means everything, and she's disconnected. She won because demographics in her district supported a Spanish speaking candidate against a disconnected old style German heritage politician. Now she's facing a half dozen or so new Spanish faces who want her job, who are not spoiled dilettantes from Westchester, who are well known performers in the same district, all democrats. She's actively looking for another job, and finding no welcomes.

Worse for her, she has two conservative Republican opponents, from local churches in a district where catholicism and family go hand in hand, from families who fled socialist failed nations. William Sena has openly declared he will run against her in the democrat primary. He's a lawyer from Jackson Heights, very popular for helping many families with immigration issues, many more buy homes, establish small businesses, and his wife Millie is loved for her church charity efforts with children. Rudy Greco, one of the leading backroom Spanish speaking attorneys and back room politician is endorsing William. He despises AOC. Rudy has fought the Parks Dept closing of soccer fields. He led the way for the renaissance of 86th Street, the hub of Spanish businesses in Queens. He represents more than 20 of the top Spanish restaurants and dance clubs in the district.

You don't have a clue. The clown makeup suits you.

How many terms will Ocasio Cortez serve until primaried out of Congress?

She’s proven toxic to the Leftists. She’s going to be primaried and defeated quickly.

The Democrats can ill afford someone who honestly spills the beans on their whacky ideas.

I fully expect to see her in the Oval Office one day.

1 term for every hooker that Trump has slept with behind his wife's back. So she will be in the house for a couple hundred years.

Geesh, why do you want to be insulting?

So has her district changed since the last election? You don't think that most of the people who supported her last time will continue to support her over? All she needs to do to win the primary is to have one more vote than the next person, if it is her against a half dozen, then that half dozen are sharing in votes, while AOC will continue to garner most of the same voters who voted her in to begin with.

And name recognition is probably the single most important factor in elections. California voters didn't vote for arnold schwarzenegger because of his stated policies, they voted for him because he was famous.

The way that Trump has alienated hispanic voters, I would be amazed if any republican could ever win the hispanic vote, and either of those two guys would have to win a good bit of the hispanic vote to win the general election in that district.
