Would You Ever Vote AOC For President?

Would You Ever Vote AOC For President?

Yes, she is of age (in this hypothetical). This is a generic question. No opponents are named. This is just a question of would you ever vote her president or not.

Geezus. More AOCDS. She's only been in office about 1.5 months. It's comedy gold how she makes Trumper heads explode.

But her Green New Deal is a headache to Pelosi who likely considers it embarrassing insanity and too much.

The GND is simply a fluffy (warm and fuzzy?) statement of progressive (DSA?) goals - I believe that Pelosi has referred to them "dreams". So long as the (new AOC/Bernie brand of) far left behaves (votes as Pelosi demands) then they pose no real problem for Pelosi.

I have slightly more faith in this country than you have I think. Trump might not be brilliant, he might not be smart, but this woman is rivaling Maxine Waters for the uber-dullard in Congress.

I think you might. AOC's ignorance and inexperience wouldn't matter in the slightest. Voters don't care about how smart a candidate is. In fact, they would prefer a 'dullard' over someone who appeared to be too politically successful. In fact, the more politically successful her Republican challenger was, the better chance of her winning IMO. Her only chance of losing would be if Republicans were to run another crazy-popular, dullard, outsider against her. We no longer care about qualifications in this country. We only want someone who can whip up anger in their base through sound-bites in order to beat out the other guy/gal. Partisanship is growing in this country due to the rapid speed of cultural and scientific progress, and I don't think that is going to change.

I'm impressed you correctly spelled milquetoast, rather than posting milk toast. I learned something. Thank you. :)

Color me surprised, I can't spell to save my life, and this game console doesn't seem to have a spell-check feature.

I think you have it backwards, we are enjoying her on center stage. Us Trumpers love to see your side actually saying what they think in front of the nation. The older generation was smart enough to hide what they were thinking. We love her, I hope she runs for President.

only if right wingers consistently start 40 AOC threads a day until she turns 35.

SO, if left wingers consistently start 50 Trump threads a day does that mean you will vote for Trump?

I guess they need a new female to demonize now that Clinton seems done.

Poor baby Cortez. All she wants to do is to destroy the traditional American free market system and replace it with an unaffordable big government brutally mandated socialist Bolshevik government system, and she gets picked on.

Also, in what world is Trump not qualified to be President but AOC is? Please support your argument in lieu of the fact that Trump has more executive experience than virtually anyone before him.

I didn't say she was. I was putting her on the same level as Trump and pointing out that he won against a better qualified candidate. Run her against virtually any qualified Republican currently in contention and she would mop the floor with them because pandering to the base is more important than qualifications. If Trump is the king of controversial sound bites, she is positioning herself as the queen. The blue wave that results from the partisan politics of Donald Trump will be at her beck and call.

If she can make a good cup of coffee, I'll vote for her to keep her barista job.

That's an extremely sexist comment but not a surprising one coming from you.

It's funny, the right wing obsession with AOC is drawing more attention to her positions and is actually increasing support for them.

Lol please, if there is a god...run AOC. She thinks the world is ending in not 11, not 13 but 12 years. And you guys sit there and say Trump is nuts.

You sound exactly like the liberals who laughed at Donald Trump during his campaign. Do you honestly think her supporters care if she is nuts? Did you care that Trump was nuts?

In right wing circles they call this "triggering the libs" when Trump does it. I guess it's "triggering the cons" now?

If she was a better option than whoever was running against her, then yes.

Your so called traditional American free market system has not existed for many decades now.

You can definitely see the power of Fox News. This generally irrelevant freshman Congressman from Queens seems to haunt the empty space in the heads of so many, just because Fox chose to demonize her by assigning to her name all Democratic sins before, during and after AoC.

Sorry but your question well illustrates your irrational fear of this woman. You need to think this through. The fact is, by the time she were to run for President, the idealism of her youth would be greatly tempered by the reality of her Washington experience (politics is the art of the possible) or she will never be a viable candidate and fall flat on her face in early primaries.

It is a far better use of your brain power to actually fear those that have power, not freshman congressmen that do not.

The fear from the right about AOC isn't irrational. It's real!

They fear her because they can't contain her. She's smart, very vocal, strong in her beliefs and they fear she'll be a lightening rod for "the next generation" of non-white voters. The Right sees the writing on the wall and it terrifies them. Why do you think they came out the gate swinging at her over and above any other newly elected member of Congress? They fear this woman because they know her potential. I wouldn't say she'd be Barack Obama 2.0, but the potential is certainly there.

Obama wasn't nearly as liberal as she is.

Thank you for the comment conservative one. It typifies how the right really thinks of these folks, no better than a coffee server. The forty seven percent Mitt spoke of. This is why the GOP is predominately white and with that kind of thinking will never attract a significant number of blacks or hispanics, nor will the GOP attract many of the younger folks living through the school shootings.

The right as usual is on the wrong side of social change.

I voted other before reading the rules, oops. Yes, I would vote for her gladly. I'm a progressive, I want progress not regress.

yet regress is exactly what you will get with her.
millions of people living on the government dole what the elitists celebrate in their ivory towers.
her ideology isn't social change. it is social engineering at it's worst.

If your options were limited to 'yes' or 'no' instead of "no, never", I would have answered 'no'. The thing is, people just cannot emphatically state whether they would or would not vote for AOC or any other candidate because it's just just too early to make that decision. There's a lot of time between now and November 2020 and anything can happen.

she is an idiot with a microphone and a TV screen.
she is the liberal version of trump basically.

Were you even paying attention throughout Obama's administration? If she were to become Obama 2.0, then I'm done with politics.

Unlike you, I don't have a side. But I do hate rote incompetence and a habitual liar - i.e. Donald Trump.

If you say so. It's easy to view a person in snippets as opposed to reviewing her entire body of work (no matter how small). But you just keep on being so cavalier about her and dismissing this woman out of hand. She may never become a future Commander-in-Chief, but she just may have a long future in politics. And if so, she's going to give the right (and the left) fits!...something about her willingness to hold truth to power comes immediately to mind.

Please name your top Trumpnis crazy because issue.....lets compare.

I was mainly referring to his quick rise to the WH...2 yrs in IL Senate, 2 yrs in U.S. Senate...8 yrs in the WH. Had nothing to do with his or her politics or how they governed. Sorry you misinterpreted (or that I didn't elaborate on exactly how I viewed the two politicians). But even so, Obama still had enormous cross-over appeal. That was basically my point.
