will it be the first or second quarter of next year?
I don't see Trump resigning. He has approximately 40% of all America strongly behind him. 50% who oppose him and 10% who are ambivalent. These numbers have been constant or steady since he first took office within a few points up or down.
That aside, I don't think Trump is the kind to quit or resign. He would have to be forced from office which means impeachment. That I'm sure he would fight all the way. There has to be a serious crime committed by Trump that is provable to the American people for impeachment to work. The problem with impeachment is that it may look like a partisan political vendetta by the Democratic controlled house. That could backfire on them making Trump look like a victim, like the Democrats are trying to overturn a legitimate election. Sour grapes on losing.
Up to this point in time, there is nothing that Trump has done to warrant impeachment. Impeachment talk seems to be confined to the Democratic Party only. So unless something new comes out, something big that is criminal that Trump has done, he isn't going anywhere.
