Tucker Carlson has nearly 3 million viewers in his time slot and they're not all pro-Trump. Obviously when someone like Tucker Carslon has the ears and attention of so many Americans, he has to realize he's not living inside a protected bubble, he's going to be open to public criticism. His rhetoric is usually contentious and biting about any liberal no matter who happens to be his target that day. The American people have no microphone, no network to broadcast their objections or argument in opposition and essentially no voice to oppose Tucker Carlson or anyone else. That's why people ignite in public when they run across someone who obviously has the power of the media behind them.

It's like the old saying "If you can't stand the heat then get out of the kitchen" and if Tucker Carlson feels at liberty to express his hateful, biased opinions and even conspiratorial suppositions on national television then it's the right of any private citizen to have their voices heard whenever and wherever they have that opportunity to be heard.

True, but that does not mean that he cannot have a private life. People cannot just intrude on that life, something away from the politics.

It doesn't matter. He's going to be a target just like any other public figure whether they're a politician, a rock star or an accused felon of a crime. He should understand that anyone in the public limelight is going to receive both the adoration or the ire of people while out in public. I'm sure Tucker Carlson, Ted Cruz, Kristjen Nielson or Sarah Sanders has no complaints when their dinner is interrupted by fans asking for an autograph or just wanting to interact with them.

And why would you think that when Hollywood people regularly tell us that they dont go out because they cant be regular people, it is too much hassle because of the fans? The correct response from you if you see either Tucker Carlson or Lady Gaga at your restaurant is to leave them alone.

The thing that Modern Morons dont know is that rights always were and must be connected to responsibility, in this case the responsibility is to not degrade communal life more than necessary, for the good of all.

Showing up at someone's house to harass them, trespass, slam on their door, and scream at them - because they politically disagree - IS FASCIST TACTICS, not free speech.

You got the wrong thread for that....this one is about attacking people in restaurants because "you" dont agree with the ideas they have in their heads....making them pay for that because the attacker is an uncivilized sadistic asshole.

This thread reminds me of the 1950's when segregation was the norm. Instead of "No colored here" here, it is your pollical view is not wanted in this restaurant

Excellent Point!

That would be the correct response from MEbut I'm not responsible for the dissatisfaction of the American public. It's very easy for television personalities like Tucker Carlson to throw 'rocks' from the safety of Fox studios but as he apparently lives in a glass house and is sensitive to public harassment, then he better be ready for more 'rocks' to be thrown back at him or his family.

Yep. And if you don't shut up/leave, we're bringing a mob to your house to harass and scare your family into submission.

"Get off my lawn!"

Seems like an appropriate response to me.:lamo

Tucker Carlson...they have had as part of their family tradition going out to eat, even on major holidays. He does not feel like they can do it anymore because too often they get attacked (called confronted by those who like to minimize the problem).

He has four kids and a wife he has had since 1991, met her when they were both 15.

Is America wrong for making him feel this way.

Y/N, and yes I am judging you.
Yes this is a bad thing. I hope everyone who voted yes realizes that this could come back and bite their side in the ass. Sure celebrities are often hounded by paparazzi scum and adoring fans. However thats not the same ballpark as people harassing and even threatening someone simply because they don't like that person's political opinion.

With all the hate he spews day in and day out into the public sphere, he can't handle the public sphere spewing a little hate right back? He's made a career out of insulting people and spreading hate. If he doesn't want feedback he should stop.

Clearly nobody should be attacking his house but getting a taste of your own verbal medicine in public is just justice. Pure karma.

Care to provide some evidence of this supposed 'hate that he spews?' Or is this just you spewing your normal dishonest garbage.

Thats complete garbage. First of all, there are numerous personalities on the left that offer a counter to anything Tucker says. And second, the protests against him and others on the right are not spontaneous reactions by a disenfranchised public. These are left wing activists using fascist tactics to silence opposition.

Incidents like what happened at Tucker Carlson’s home are exceptional whereas the violence done by conservatives is normative. The left doesn't condone what a fringe element like Antifa does nor does it agree with their tactics any more than the right would agree with the hate-mongering, torch bearing extremist elements on the right like neo-Nazis, or groups like Oath Keepers.

Bull****. Is it even remotely possible for you to make an honest comment or engage in honest debate? It seems not.

You defended it in the post I responded to. You justified it and rationalized it.

Obviously justification and rationalization are two words you aren't familiar with. "Honest debate"?? LMAO!

People who are not smart enough and/or caring enough to be bothered at the incivility that is sweeping America, are not bothered by the decline of civilization, dont rate the kind of time.

You can thank your president for a lot of that.
