No minds are going to be changed here. Just wish to point out that listing yourself in a directory of lawyers from 1986 to 1995 as having native American ancestry is not morally wrong. Her expressed purpose as you pointed out was networking. I believe her statements on the matter as well as a thorough investigation by The Boston Globe. It is ludicrous to accept that a obviously white woman without any proof or documentation of any kind is going to be granted
minority status or favorable diversity hiring at four different for profit colleges. Its just a hook that people against Liz Warren's views find convenient to hang their hats on. It didn't work for Scott Brown.

The former chairman of the American Association of Law Schools, David Bernstein, told the Herald that the group’s directory once served as a tip sheet for administrators. “In the old days before the Internet, you’d pull out the AALS directory and look up people,” he said. “There are schools that, if they were looking for a minority faculty member, would go to that list and might say, ‘I didn’t know Elizabeth Warren was a minority.'”Warren said she didn’t know Harvard had used her heritage as proof of diversity until reading about the issue in the news, according to a Herald report. She also denied that she ever tried to gain a professional advantage through her lineage.
Warren responded she was recruited for the positions and did not “apply” for them; and for the most part, her record did not indicate any identification as part of a minority group:

The Globe obtained a portion of Warren’s application to Rutgers, which asks if prospective students want to apply for admission under the school’s Program for Minority Group Students. Warren answered “no.”For her employment documents at the University of Texas, Warren indicated that she was “white.”

But Penn’s 2005 Minority Equity Report identified her as the recipient of a 1994 faculty award, listing her name in bold to signify that she was a minority.

The Herald has twice quoted Charles Fried, the head of the Harvard appointing committee that recommended Warren for her position in 1995, saying that the Democratic candidate’s heritage didn’t come up during the course of her hiring. “It simply played no role in the appointments process,” he said. “It was not mentioned and I didn’t mention it to the faculty.”

The Herald later quoted Fried, a former U.S. Solicitor General under President Ronald Reagan, saying, “I can state categorically that the subject of her Native American ancestry never once was mentioned.”

Yes, from the standpoint that it comes across as rude to actual Native Americans.

I voted yes. But only because he should be calling her Faux-cahontas seeing how according to some reports she has less Native American in her blood than most Americans do.

Now that his enemies (they are more than simply "opponents") have seized the House, it's time for President Trump to change his mode of speaking.


He should become positive and start complimenting people more. (He should even compliment Democrats who do the right thing. There ARE some good Democrats.)


Yes, it's time to start acting "more presidential." He WILL be more boring, but boring is perhaps what he needs to be at this time.


Sadly, he will be leaving the White House in 2021 after attending the inauguration of President-elect H. Clinton / J. Biden / B. O'Rourke / M. Walters.

Not showing up at the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery in France to pay homage to our fallen soldiers who died in France during WW1 was only a symptom of a very deeply disturbed man. The fact that neither he nor Mike Pence could find time in their schedules to place a wreath on a grave at Arlington is only more proof that he has very little appreciation or gratitude for our military. He appreciates our military when they salute him and pose behind him for propaganda photos, but that's it. He doesn't have an understanding or empathy for what veterans have undergone in service to this country. To him, our armed forces represent his own power, not the representation of the power of our U.S. military strength globally. Like everyone else in his life, he uses the military only to serve his political agenda.

"No", but not for the reasons ones voting "no" might hope. He shouldn't stop, because if he does not shop it further drills into our heads the complete utter, dishonest, and slimey idiocy of the attack.

She's got to be the only person attacked for making a vague statement based on a real family history, which itself was proven correct: way back, she had native ancestry. It's absurd that anyone pretended to give so much as a tenth of a **** about it, worse, that they did so for political purposes.





That is, I'd say "yes" in an ideal world. But this world is ****. So, "no", let him further foul up the GOP (not that it may matter).

OK...that s true...I mean...assuming he would act more presidential, then he should stop ALL the responding. I thought this was a 'realistic' poll.
 
Shouldn't the poll more correctly state "Now that Warren has completely clowned herself and proven her Indian heritage stories to be total bull**** should she stop lying and never make the claim again?"
