If there is a D after their name they have shown a severe lack of judgement. I have voted for an "I" but always with regret. Having said that I do not vote for all Republicans. I skip some races....Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe are prime examples. I voted for Angus King over Susan Collins for Governor .....a lose lose vote and we all ended up getting stuck with both. On behalf of Maine, I apologize. Lol

Full disclosure: if you're not a registered Democrat in California it's almost impossible to vote a straight ticket. For instance our US Senate race was between DiFi and Kevin De Leon - both Dems. I held my nose and voted for DiFi - De Leon is even wackier than her.

Yes and no.

In NY, we have several smaller parties that receive ballot lines. However, most of those parties simply endorse the D or R. So I voted for every Democrat running, but I voted for them on the Working Families Party line if they appeared on it. I voted for zero Republicans (I have in the past, although never for national office), and it’s getting increasingly difficult to envision a scenario in which I ever would again.

No, I've almost always voted a split ticket. This year, however, I think I only voted for two republicans out of the lot, and they were offsets to our too damned spend-and-tax ultra-progressive state legislature.

Every national office I voted democratic; every damned one.
If you live in California you had little choice unless you went with odd-ball parties.

Yes, for the first time in my life. I’ll go back to split ticket once the Republicans have a rational actor as their party leader again.
Yeah, leaving more money in the hands of the people that earned it - what lunacy; everyone KNOWS our congressmen and Senators know far better how our money should be spent.

I voted for Libertarians, Republicans and Democrats.

I never said that. I said until the Republicans have a rational actor at the head of their party I won’t be voting for Republicans at any level. I’m in the top tax bracket. I don’t like the way government spends my money. This is beyond taxes for me.

S0, you'd forfeit prosperity for Americans because Trump is a dick?

I don't care which party. I don't believe I've ever voted a straight ticket in my life, might have inadvertently but not intentionally. This year I did though.

This is the 2nd time I've voted a straight ticket. I voted all red in Colorado in 2012. I liked Romney a lot (still do) and thought Ryan was going to be a great vp (well before he sold out) - and Doug Lamborn was running pretty much unopposed that year. Don't remember the rest of the ticket tbh.

This time around was 100% blue. 2020 will be as well.

Nope.

Charlie Baker for governor. (Republican). He's been good and we need some balance in MA. He also despises Trump. The Dem was a bit too far left anyway, but I generally don't punish someone who has done a good job, or at least hasn't done anything that seriously pisses me off. I voted for Brown, for example, and then voted for him again over Warren when she first ran.

Someone for AG who was a Republican, because the AG's office under the existing Dem has been not nearly as harsh with county DA's offices as it should have. We've had two major drug lab scandals where chemists were stealing and using samples at work, fabricating results, etc., and this has affected tens and tens of thousands of cases. Tens of thousands of people were put in jail with faked evidence. A process has dragged on for several years. At every single stage of the way, the DAs and their minion prosecutors have relentlessly hid evidence of misconduct, minimized it, destroyed it. Quite a lot of those prosecutors should be in jail right now. Instead its the usual: they get away with vile misconduct that would get a defense attorney disbarred in a heartbeat because criminals are bad mmmkay. I think maybe one or two got in trouble with the BBO. A whole lot more were complicit. Now, I don't have any reason to think the GOP contender would do anything about that, but at the very least I wanted to punish the current AG. Of course it didn't matter. She was a D and this is MA so she won again.

Bottom line with the DA/Drug Lab scandal and the AG's limp wrist: Americans care a whole lot less about justice and fairness then they pretend. This is in fact why they pretend so hard that they care.

Congress was definitely Democratic votes for me. I cannot vote federally for a Republican with Trump in power and with the entire GOP showing itself to be far more dishonorable than I previously imagined in their craven kowtowing towards the orange slug.

For my count's DA, I wrote in the head of the private counsel division for CPCS (defense)....not that he was even running. Not going to vote for the dishonest swine of a DA we have.

There were a lot of local races I knew nothing about, but they were largely people running unopposed so whatever.
