I am anti Trump, but some elements of the visionary statement's he's made are okay. The thing is that Trump isn't the only person who shares those visionary notions and he's hardly the only one who can implement them, and anyone other than him at the helm will be just as good as Trump as goes bringing those notions to fruition.

It seems to me that most of the Forum Membership has taken a stand for one side or the other, either firm opposition or firm support.

Yet we have thread after thread of Anti-Administration and Pro-Administration opinions from several of the most avid opponents/supporters acting as if these posts are changing anyone's minds.

I believe in something that I call latent understanding. It's the idea that while someone in the heat of an argument may not be capable of admitting they are wrong that it is possible to plant a seed in ones head that at some point down the road may sink in when the person is not on the defensive. Perhaps at a time when they're arguing about something else, or just thinking to themselves. At that point, forgetting where they heard the idea and not having to look bad in front of anyone they may potentially reflect on the idea and think of it as their own. Thereby be willing to accept it. As a result, I do not necessarily view the inability to drill some sense into the heads of Trump supporters short term to be a complete waste of time.

Furthermore, I know that liberals will win this fight. It's not a question of if it's a question of how long will it take, and how much damage will be done by this disgusting disgraceful administration before it becomes readily apparent. Progress tends to come in waves and surges. Like water building up against a damn once the damn cracks it rushes over and obliterates everything in its path quick as lightning. For me, these arguments serve to ensure that the pressure on the conservative wall of ignorance is constant and unyielding.

It's like practice for the day that the first cracks form so we can be ready to capitalize. By preparing for every bull**** and disgustingly fallacious argument these morons have in their personal we can make sure that on the day when the battle lines fall we can run them over and ensure a quick and decisive victory leaving them no place to hide and no point to fall back on.

While you and your ilk on this forum may not be amendable there are millions of others not as deeply rooted and I want to make sure I can already anticipate every silly fallacious line of reasoning they've been fed by the right so that when it is necessary I can help them avoid becoming as lost as you.

Because of what happened in New York City yesterday, he will no doubt moderate his "colorful" language in the future.

Wow. The hits just keep coming. I think this is the third time this week I've had to update my list of the top ten dumbest things ever said on this forum. I'd be impressed if it wasn't so sad that you actually believe what you just wrote.

Interesting. Where do you think conservatives have implanted something in your mind that has caused you to change your opinion?

I admit that I still go back and forth. There are times when I start feeling more support for the administration but man oh man there are times that I’m just embarrassed by it. It would certainly help if the Democrats actually had fresh ideas that they wanted to work towards and share it with the public as a real alternative but right now it seems most of them just want to oppose everything that Trump does. Democratic socialism surely isn’t the answer either.
