2. I KNEW I should have left the comment I made about what caused China's wall to fail, because I KNEW you were going to cite the Mongols. The Great wall has been around since 206 BC, and the Mongol Invasion occurred in 1279...so we are talking about a Wall that was fairly effective for 1500 years. :roll:

The main problem was that the Great Wall had edges and the horse riding Mongols could move faster than foot-marching Chinese armies.

3. The drug cartels have an established networks of tunnels already there.

Since the caravan just busted their way across the Mexican border without authorization, I would say the caravan as each one is a criminal.

I've never understood why some people think walls don't work, when we use them every single day in our dwellings, business enterprises, and other restricted areas to deter people from entering willy-nilly and either disrupting our situations or taking our stuff.

Walls work. Of course, like any historical border wall (Hadrian's Wall, the Great Wall of China, the Walls of Constantinople, etc.) they still need guards to make sure they work effectively.

Properly guarded they serve to channelize entry to gates and edges which are also easier to control, much like your front and back doors serve to do.

Here is a funny thing.

While watching a report here in Mexico about the caravan, the anchor stated that polls have shown that now 4 out of 10 people favor a wall being built on the southern border of Mexico.

How do liberals explain that?

The wall would slow down the flow and probably make catching the ones that do get through easier.

I heard in a report here in Mexico that something that pence said, what I don't know, made the people in Guatemala and Honduras think this is the last chance they are going to have to get into the US so they are on the way.

The lady that was on the news chow did not elaborate as to what was said.

Does anybody know what she was talking about regarding Pence?

I just googled "pence" and "immigration". Lots of stuff about him talking tough to other countries about cracking down on the flow of immigrants, but nothing about his words causing an "uptick" in the volume.

This woman was upset that Mexico was doing anything to stop the caravan, not because that would have been better for Mexico, but only because Trump asked them to do it.

So you're saying that there's a national news story about a random woman being interviewed, upset that immigrants were being stopped at the border. And her only reason for being upset is because it's something trump wants Mexico to do?

This woman was a reporter being interviewed on a news show and that was her point.

I don't know who she was or what she did, but she was being interviewed like she had information on the subject.

Considering every last member of the caravan is either an illegal alien, or is conspiring to become an illegal alien; the caravan has more criminals.

Trump has likely committed more crimes, and more serious crimes, than the entire Caravan.
