Based on the MSM reports I’m hearing, it is my opinion that US democrats are participants and encouraging this assault on the border.

Trump has said he may use troops to protect US borders.

I don't know about being a plus for the GOP, but stopping an invasion of a country by non-citizens is what every sovereign nation must do to protect its sovereignty. Why even have a border, or a country for that matter, if we do not maintain the border or regulate those that are allowed to enter the country?

IMHO, using troops could be justified given that they are foreign nationals and have declared their intention to invade our country illegally - in this use, there is no difference in utilizing armed Federal Border Patrol Agents and armed Federal Military Troops.

who said they are planning to enter illegally? Asylum is a right you know.

Are the democrats as desperate to lose this election as it appears?

This strikes me as a dumb move for them.

Actually no, its not a right. Its a privilege. One that is limited. Not everyone that applies for asylum gets it. And there is a limit to how many asylum seekers are granted asylum per year.

I don't care if it is a plus or not. Our governments MAIN job is to secure our borders. That is literally WHY the colonies banded together.

A plus for the GOP? Who knows, but it's certainly a plus for the American people.

No, it is the law, so it is a right under law to file for asylum. It only stops being a right if that law is changed...just like your gun laws can be changed...and yes, they can be changed...nothing is in stone.

I haven't. And I don't care what Honduras is like.

You should care, knowing what it is like is the key to solving the problem....that is why people are coming....they don't care about Democrats, Republicans or even Trump...they don't even listen to our news sources...they listen to La Prensa, Canal 5 and La Tribuna. We have caused havoc and played politics in Honduras to the point of no return....mostly Republicans, but Democrats too. Seems I remember missions over Honduras where guns and money were dropped to rebels in the jungles of Honduras by a certain president named Ronald Reagan....those guns are being used on Honduran streets today, by cartel, by death squads, etc. In fact, the US personally trained death squads like B 316. I know this far more intimately than you will ever understand...the School of Americas is a Republican funded source that gave us 316, gave us Noriega, etc. Ask yourself why you think people will stay in a country where death squads are murdering them and their children?

btw, we could absorb the entirety of the population of Honduras, in the US and not even feel the difference.

dosent seem like much of an onslaught so much as a group of desperate people seeking safety

What, exactly, do you expect the US to do to "solve the problem" in Honduras (or any other 'broken' foreign nation)? The attitude (of many) seems to be if the US touches it then they now own it yet the US cannot 'take over' they must (continue to?) grease the palms of those (corrupt dictators?) in charge and 'hope for change'.

who said they are planning to enter illegally? Asylum is a right you know.

Applying for asylum is legal.
Using it as an excuse to enter illegally after being coached what to say isn't.

Bubba, my family is from Honduras, they have asylum...they were not coached to say anything. I watched my brother in law and 2 of my neighbors be murdered by a death squad. There is no faking that Honduras is the most dangerous country in the world...and the US created that. So, keep telling yourself from the safety of your home that they are just making it up....I suppose that is what Trump told you to say....get out some more and learn something....if you take your head out of your ass you might learn some reality that you didn't know about.

First of all there is no dictator in Honduras...there is a US installed president....he has been there for 5 years, he is in his second term after our government helped him steal the election.
What do I expect us to do? Stop training death squads that are used against the people. Stop playing politics and stop encouraging drug trafficking from South America through Central America....btw, Trump actually suspended that help...DEA assistance to stop drug trafficking in Central America was suspended when he took office...by him.

Ever heard of school of the Americas?

I agree that we should stop trying to meddle in the internal affairs of other nations. That (bolded above) seems to indicate that Obama 'meddling' was the problem yet you want to blame Trump for taking a hands off approach.

Just because something is "the law" does not mean that it is a "Right". Rights cannot be denied to anyone except where another persons Rights may be violated. Yet people seeking asylum get rejected daily by the courts because they do not qualify for asylum. And has for decades.

And yeah, you go right ahead and try and repeal the 2nd Amendment. Or any of the first 10 Amendments to the Constitution. You'll find a civil war on your hands if you do. Millions of people have literally died for those Rights. Do you really think that millions more aren't willing to die for them still?

I think he should. If these people are going to enter our country illegally they are invading and should be met by our military. I am sick of all these people who culd care less about our laws entering our country. We don't need any more lawless criminals in this country.

As asylum seekers or whatever, they should stop in Mexico. They have more of a "right" to invade a bordering country and return when things die down, but their intentions to come here are economic and permanent residency.

The political issue is the democrats cheering them on.

have you ever been to Honduras?

No but we don't need these losers doing the same thing they did to their country here. Sorry but this the land of the brave. We fix our problems not run tail between our legs.

They didn't do it to their country...the US did.

Spit it out Clara. What is your point?

My point is, you have to understand the problem to resolve it. There is no such thing as closing the border and people that say that clearly are absolutely clueless about the border. I was born in Brownsville....you have to first work on Border Patrol that actually assists drug cartels and coyotes instead of stopping them.

and your xenophobic response is noted....they are brown and speak Spanish, thus you think they are losers...nevermind we ARM cartels, death squads etc and openly ignore that those death squads we trained and armed are murdering unarmed citizens that are protesting their government.
