The main effect of Citizens United has been to give the rich more control over political campaigns.

I pointed out how people use the Constitution to conceal paltry arguments.

The plaintiffs in citizens United (which btw was a non profit) in essence sued because they wanted to be treated the same way as Michael Moore and the backers of Farhrenheit 911 were treated when that film was advertised within 60 days of an election.

The FEC claimed the cases were different because Moore is a “bonafide filmmaker” - as if a “bonafide” can’t make a film advocating for a particular candidate. The SC called bull**** - rightly.
