Addition is a disease....lol damnit.I don't personally think wedding vows should ever include "obey".
I don't think marriage should be a matter of control, but rather a partnership of sorts.
Advertising/marketing/packaging bull**** is bull****. You have to read the packages to be sure they aren't screwing you.
Like the meat packaging that says "no hormones*" (*federal law says we can't use hormones) [to paraphrase].
So...sure...it doesn't have hormones...but it's not allowed to by law, so why mention it?
But.
Addition IS a disease, in some cases - there are quite literally physical changes to the human body/mind with some substance abuse that make it literally painful or deadly to stop.
It HAS to be treated to be fixed, it's not just a personal choice.
But it all depends on what substance is involved.
Now, I'm less sure about addiction to video games or porn and stuff, although repeated acts can form a habit that eventually changes a person, because the reward chemicals involved and **** I don't fully understand.
Addiction already.
