Every Senator should get a sexual background check to the age of 16

Sexual background check for Senators?

Every Senator or Senate candidate (federal or state) who sits in a judicial confirmation should get an exam of their sexual life back to the age of 16. Cory Booker is a good example of the hypocrisy we're looking for. Once determined they should be banned from confirmation hearings.

This would be impractical.

Only if you believe rape, statutory rape, and sexual harassment, or allegations of rape, statutory rape, and sexual harassment, are part of a normal sex life...

They're part of what we're looking for, with the presumption of guilt when we even have an inkling of course.

I think it's worth paying for. Time to knock out some of the hypocrisy in DC.

Are you only looking for criminal activity, or are you going to out them for gimp suits, giant dildos, German scat porn collections, and fuzzy bunny suits as well?

Interesting approach. I'd just be satisfied with the presumption that an investigation should take place when an allegation is made. The guilt thing is a little extreme...though as the stories pile up, it's starting to feel like even odds as to whether or not you'd be right... hehe

I've never heard of a "sexual background check". If such a thing exists, what would it include? It seems to me that beyond checking for criminal activity, you're going to run to privacy issues. There are laws against sharing medical information without a court order, so checking to see if the subject has or has had any std's would be problematic. Same thing with information about injuries sustained from sexual violence. I would agree that senators should get a criminal background check and a security background check which would cover possible blackmail issues. A sexual background check sounds kind of silly.

Oh come on now, you know all the sum'bitches are guilty.

Any nasty sex related **** that would disqualify them.

Questions kind of rediculous because what if people WANT someone who sexually assaults women as their leader... Like Republicans did in 2016?

They should be free to do so.

Or like the Democrats wanted a sexual predator in 1992...

And they wanted an adulterer in 1960...

(Sauce for the Goose and none of the above have been convicted nor censured)

Oh come on now, you know all the sum'bitches are guilty.

lol...I never understand how you guys keep electing such shady individuals … all the while complaining about the crooks in Washington... Masochists?

Yes. Even females.

Come on, Canada has their share.

Psh, whatever bud, we're as pure as the driven snow... ;) Comes from having real beer...maybe you guys would be less shady and pissed off if we started sending it to you...though I'm sure the tariffs would be outrageous.

lol....I think you'll like, or hate, this article:

https://www.macleans.ca/opinion/wha...ersation-about-justin-trudeaus-alleged-grope/

Funny thing, sometimes when you acknowledge you ****ed up, and say sorry, people let it go.

Also there's some other good stuff in there, like:

If nothing else, the recent controversy surrounding Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and a decades-old account of a stray hand served to demonstrate how the resistance to nuance didn't insulate this important movement from bad-faith actors - but rather, has directly enabled those fueled by disdain for women and feminism, not to mention a visceral hatred of men who consider themselves allies, to co-opt and weaponize #MeToo's intent for malicious gain.

Interesting stuff, no?

By the way, if the woman doing the alleging in this case had demanded an investigation, I would have supported her 100%. No one is above scrutiny - that's how law works.

And I was just playing about all you shady Americans, for the record... Stand down, soldier... ;)

Sexual background check for Senators?
I'd be okay with that happening, even being required, for prospective senators and federal judges.

Obviously, some voters may not give a damn that the man/woman who wants to represent them may be a sexual reprobate -- Evangelicals voted for Trump, after all -- but at least voters would know the kind of person for whom they're voting.

I think it's particularly important for jurists, more so than senators. The people have effectively no say in who gets emplaced to sit in judgment of them; thus comprehensive transparency is all the more essential.

I think this is one of those things that has to come out when it comes out.

If it comes out on the campaign trail:

- Depending on circumstance, it will or will not be investigated as a crime and voters will have to decide if it matters to them.

If it comes out after elected:

- Voters will have to decide if it matters and demand investigations, recalls, step-downs, etc.
- Or voters will decide to abide for the moment and let re-election sort it out.

says the Bill Clinton crowd.

Oh, ya...anything associated with the infamous Ford family is shady AF!! Of course, Doug Ford won on a populist agenda...for the conservatives. He's our Donald Trump. ;)

If anything gave us better insight into what it was like to vote for you guys the last time around, it was our recent Ontario provincial election. The Liberal option was horrible and had been for 12 or 15 years, the Conservative option was terrifying but new and not the Liberal option...hehe... Expect to see all kinds of crazy **** out of Ontario for the next four years...hehe...

Thanks for the article, though...my boss is a raging social conservative, it's gonna be awesome throwing this in his face.
