The question is fairly simple.
As demanded by the Democrats, and honored by the Republican's, Kavanaugh's appointment vote was delayed until after a hearing scheduled for Monday 09/24/18 so that Ms. Christine Blasey Ford is given the opportunity to testify.
Kavanaugh states he has no problem with this. The only other alleged witness states he has no knowledge of this issue and chooses not to testify.
But apparently Ms. Ford has decided she will NOT testify unless a non-existent FBI investigation is completed on her allegations.
Of course the allegations are no longer a crime since the Maryland Statute of Limitations for a Fourth Degree Sex Offense expired one year after the incident (or one year after the accuser turned 18 which is still over 30 years ago).
There is no Federal crime to investigate, and no State crime still in need of investigating. Of course trying to get an investigation started, much less completed will push any hearing and testimony sometime into next year.
So, recognizing all of this, should the FBI be compelled to investigate her allegations in order for her to then testify before Congress about Kavanaughs fitness?
Or conversely, is such an investigation really necessary before she could testify at the scheduled hearing on 09/24/18?
