Thank you. I wasn't aware of exactly what went down but now that I read it, I do recall hearing today, that Dems pulled their usual b.s. and refused to attend.
Actually, it would be karma if Ford refuses to come and testify, and Dems missed their chance to question Kavanaugh on the record.

About an incident he said he has no recollection of? No.
Far more important is anyone who can corroborate what Ford alleges about Kavanaugh's behavior and character. Thus far, he has only glowing endorsements from the many women he's know personally and professionally.

I was referring to the Republicans rush to confirm the nominee.

“Ninety percent of people think she’s a hero and are extremely supportive of her, and 10 percent want her to die immediately,” the person said, adding, “Her worst fears are coming true.”

I'll grant you that. And, I'll grant the legitimacy of the what aboutism...republicans DID do this to Obama.

I'll say for her what I've consistently said when the other side is doing it - the people sending these threats are scum, and should be prosecuted, and made examples of.

I suspect the Dems, through Ford's attorney, will come up with one excuse after another to try to string the Judicial Committee along as far as they can get it to go. It's all about delaying the vote, after all. But I don't think Grassley will put up with much of that malarkey.

As long as some key Senate YEA votes are being withheld, pending hearing of the 'alleged attempted rape' story from its only source, then accepting delay or pulling the nomination are the only options.

I really don’t think Graham and Collins will put up for being strung along. Jeff the Political Flake might, but if this vague allegation continues with no new evidence and the accuser refusing testimony people will lose interest fast

We are down to 49 days until the mid-term elections and early voting starts well before that - these politicians know how to play timing games very well. Most would agree to put this off rather than to make a decision w/o letting the 'rape victim' speak her piece.

Oh, I see Grassley as being perfectly capable of telling those key Senators to fish or cut bait. After all, we are talking about the committee vote at this point. Whichever way it goes, it will then go to the full Senate.

She's going to be tossed into the "useful idiot" heap at some point, but if she refuses to come and testify, or throws up unreasonable roadblocks (like trying to get her allegations formally investigated by authorities-sorry, you waited way, way, way too long) in an obvious attempt to delay, she'll be yesterday's news.

She volunteered to be the next Anita hill, I for one don't buy her story and think this is just political gamesmanship of the worst kind. I think she's a liar.
