Would you have trusted Trump with 9/11?

yes Bush handled it way better than Trump or obama would have.

Okay, just so we don't get too far away from what it is that we're talking about, I'll re-quote what you said, and bolden the part that I have an issue with.

What on Earth do you think that the current president would have done to 'end it quickly'? I don't know if you're used to being held to your words or not, but you just made a very vague claim. That might suffice while you're drinking beer with your buddies, but you're on a discussion forum, son.
I said it in the context of trump being president during 9/11 to which you now want to assign it as the war on terror as if I claimed there would never be another act of terrorism ever again.

Yes I believe that if trump were president at the time he would of handled it better than bush. He would of given our military the authority to use the appropriate amount of force to find and kill bin Laden and disrupt his merry group of men.

He'd be a dream come true for the conspiracy theorists out there.

"they had bombs that exploded"

Maybe he can distract us all with a new 9/11 investigation.

I'm sorry, but what exactly was wrong with his interview? I just watched your video, and it seems to me he was giving a reasonable explanation from a builder's perspective of one possibility.

I was in NYC on 9/11, working downtown just a few blocks from the WTC. I took the #1 train right to the end of the line under the WTC to get to work every day.

It was chaos there as we watched the buildings burn, and then collapse, and the dust cloud was terrible. Speculation was rampant about what could cause those buildings to come down.

Making fun of Donald Trump for his views under those circumstances? Might as well make fun of most New York residents who experienced the situation first-hand. :twocents:

The scarier scenario would have been having Al Gore as president. He is bat **** crazy, and probably would have nuked someone before we even knew who did what.

BTW, the FBI knew all about these guys and did nothing, and they still haven't accounted for Mohammed Atta.

I'm not making fun of him.

If he was President at that time and he suggested bombs were involved, do you not believe the conspirators out there wouldn't have went nuts with that statement?

But if he does still believe there were bombs involved which is not in the official report, he should open a new investigation and it would be a distraction against his current investigation.

Trump's primary way of addressing 9/11 would have been to reject the 3000 death toll figure because he'd think it would make him look bad. And I know this because that's how he chose to deal with the results of Hurricane Maria.

Yes, I would have trusted a President Trump 100%.

A President Trump would have responded appropriately.

Unlike the president at the time, he would NOT have let emotion push him into a disastrous decision to invade Iraq, the horrific results of which we are experiencing up to today.
The Middle East is an absolute mess (not to mention its impact on Europe) because the president at the time had to act macho.

If the president at that time had been a person of honor, he would have resigned in order to apologize for one of the worst presidential decisions in history.

I cannot help but think how different 9/11 would be handled with this President. How different our country would be today if Mr. Swampy was President during that time. Depending on the results of this poll. Doesn't that tell you something...

Presumably we'd have even more minority toddlers in concentration camps than we do today.
