I know you could have gone back even further, and I appreciate the digestible reply. I guess the question becomes, which is better, if either. It sure seems that The United States as it moves forward is the best option, yes?

both commies and nazi's like those in China/Eastern Europe/Asia/Germany/Italy are all equally evil because they use their ideology to commit crimes and cause suffering and deaths on massive scales.

As a Social Democrat I hope you won't hold it against me if I think the US is too obsessed with the almighty dollar because I do not think money is the thing to worship because money to some degree is the root of all evil.

I would never hold your idea's against you. You certainly maybe right and I certainly may be wrong. It's a work in progress, yes?. And further, your mention of left and right extremism is spot on. But currency makes the world go-round, at least this far in to the 21st century, so the Almighty dollar can't be ignored, for good or other.

As much as one can generically say anyone from any country is anything. But he was trying to come to power in Germany. Germans are mostly Protestant. Even if he’d been super religious(and indulging in the occult would suggest otherwise) playing it up would not have helped him accumulate more power.

Austria is 75+ percent Catholic... Pretty safe bet his upbringing was Catholicism.

Not taking a side here, but I'm fairly Certain Hitler was Catholic(means nothing about Catholicism) Wasn't he enrolled in a Catholic School? In any event, religion has nothing to do with what he became.
