The deficit is basically the amount of money spent which is in excess of the amount of money taken in. Even though Congress failed to pass a budget during most of the Obama years it still spent money it did not have which required additional funding accountability. That is why Congress battled several times over raising the debt ceiling under Obama. Congress had to authorize additional borrowing in order to pay its bills and that required additional raises in the debt limit each time. The additional borrowing led to an increase of nearly $10 trillion in our national debt under Obama, but the influx from the borrowed 'stimulus money' made the deficit appear to be low. However, was just a bad trick that only gives the appearance the US has money enough in the bank to pay its bills. It's like spending tens of thousands of dollars over a credit card limit and then borrowing hundreds of thousands from a lending institution to make the payments, giving a false sense of good credit to credit rating agencies.

Yet you still seem to fail in making a point, because Obama did the same, so did Bush Jr and Bill. Not to mention the fact that you have no way of knowing if he did so (which was still law either way) out of spite. Though it would be nice if you could actually produce such evidence, so I wouldn't simply be wasting my breath at this point.

This thread isn't for religious discussion. Though to put it in a profoundly shorter form the bible is not the word of god, there is no proof that the Hebrews spent decades out in the desert and the books contained that whoever wrote those words. Did not in fact know how a majority of the natural world worked.

now please explain in your own words why Obama accumulated so much federal debt during his term in office?

why no fighting abiut debt ceilings and deficit spending now that Trump is in the white house?

are you implying that it was Obama and not The Federal Reserve Bank that inflated the.money supply to bail out the banks and Wall Street?

No.I will be voting for the party that allows women's bodily autonomy,is wise enough to realize legalized pot is much better than the ongoing epidemic of opioid abuse,keeps their noses out of what consenting adults do in their own bedrooms,and takes steps to ensure newborns from families in need receive food,clothing,shelter,and proper medical care.

Government infringement...what do you mean??...like ice separating families The EPA that protects us from growing three legs by chemicals in the water and the air. Do you mean that kind of intrusion......

You scum bag leader would have you believe that he was the golden boy who fixed the economy , complete total bull**** , the last I looked Obama owned 83% of the recovery. The only thing scum bag has is the biggest handout to the wealthy and big B in history. He wants to pay for it from the safety net, SS, medicare and medicaid Just like the other wannabe Nazis' that honor your side of the isle.

Hopefully cooler heads will prevail going forward but I'm not so sure they will. Most politicians, including Trump, don't seem to understand the danger we are in due to our mounting debt. I hardly think Obama was a fiscal hawk, however.

I wonder what would have happened to this country after Bush all but destroyed us with his deregulation and tax cuts for the wealthy. If anything less then what was used wasn't. The fact of the matter is at this point the right owns more of the dept then the dems. Do you realize that during the Obama administration, big b had the highest profits in history , not by a little but by a lot , he had the highest percentage of gross that was profit in history and the fastest rate of increase in profit in history . Add in the fact that in day one of the Obama administration the market turned around exactly on Obamas first day in office and went up 178% by the time he left office. But the future will always be dictated by Reagan's trickle down lie , which has done exactly what it was meant to do, put every dollar into the hands of the golden few. All you have to do is look at any chart on wages over the years since 81 and that holds 100% true. all but pennies went to the top as planned. This is what the right wants for this country.

We need more humility and submission to God for protection. The government is a very poor protector and provider. Law enforcement officers divide law-breakers from their families but that cannot be helped in civilized society. The EPA has become a cash cow for political insiders who are doing very little to provide a clean environment while oppressing businesses in the country.
