We do have a Chump as POTUS. I nicknamed Trump Chump for good reasons, mainly because he lacks grace, honor, a sense of humor and empathy for others. I vote... and very much look forward to seeing the results of our midterm elections. Peace to you and yours!

Thank you. My good friend, I will live respectfully with the results, not only 2018, but beyond. I look forward to my fellow citizens doing the same. But, please lose the Chump thing. You and I are better than that.
Regards,
CP

To each their own. We each have a modus operandi. Perhaps you like martyrdom or to feel like a doormat? I perceive the President as an opportunistic unethical narcissistic bully. Calling him Chump makes me feel better.

America, like every nation, is about opportunity, otherwise, why form a Union?. President Trump narcissistic? Oh, I would say yes. But exclusively, no. I believe he is United Sates driven

Back to the very first quote by Trump in the thread OP.Trump doesn't take questions from CNN because he knows he will expose himself as the ultimate "FAKE' since he can't put any spin on live interviews/queries.He chooses FOX because he already knows what softball questions will coming his way. He fools no one but his base with his "FAKE NEWS" mantra he coined to avoid taking hard questions to which he has no sensible answers. He takes the coward's way out.Always has, always will....just like today when queried live by multiple news outlets and clammed up like a toddler caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

You must know that I respect what you writ, but to the question, when did being President of the Untied States require Ethics in Journalism? Wouldn't' that apply to journalist's? Regards,
CP

Well, first of all Potus isn't a journalist. And,of course all journalists are supposed to follow a certain journalistic code of ethics. Not all do to be sure. But let's keep it real.Journalists are the messengers, at least they are supposed to be.Let's not shoot all of them.If a journalist is going to editoralilze ( state an opinion),he/she should make a disclaimer before doing so_Other than that if they are 'fairly and accurately' reporting the news, they are doing their jobs correctly.

Agree! Where are all the true Journalist today? It seems that they are all (Fox, CNN, MSNBC, pick 'em) looking for a prime time gig. Lord, we miss you Walter Cronkite!

Gotta respect that CNN dude who reports from North Korea, most likely with a gun held to his head!!!.:peace:lamo:2wave:

As a Liberal I can admit like all Newsources that CNN isn't an angel but Trump's entire twitter is filled with fake news or exaggerated facts he's simply an untrustworthy source that doesn't care about his reputation nor is the majority of his base going to fact check him.

Probably so about the President and his unfortunate habit of Tweeting. On the other hand, it is certainly spontaneous and permanent, like all comments. CNN is a ship of fools. MSNBC, as much as I disagree with their summations, seems to be the best alternative for Liberals. My gig is Fox. But, you probably knew that.

I’m going to go radical here.. I’d say both Trump and CNN are violating journalist Ethics, but throw in basically all of the networks in there as well

Trump is not a journalist so how has he violated journalistic ethics?

I do agree with you about CNN and other networks though.

I don’t disagree with your first statement. It was more of a reference to him not being the guide of truth himself. Take everything for a grain of salt :)

I dislike questioning a pollster, but isn't the obverse, who is less Presidential, CNN or the President? It seems an odd comparison.
