So....what do you think of the president and his administration?

I honestly thought he was more intelligent that he actually is. I also thought that his ego is so large that he would try to be a consensus builder. Instead, he has just doubled down with his 28% base and has catered to their whims. I guess if his ego can be stroked by crowds of 10k, he doesn't need the approval of the rest of America.

I didn't want to taint the poll, so I'll voice my opinion in a separate post.

Trump--disaster
Pence--disappointing
Sessions--bigger disaster than even Trump
Flynn--20 year prison sentence sounds fair
Everyone from Spice to Mooch to Sanders--OMG
Rex, Kelly and Mad Dog--hey, he did something right
Munchkin, DeVoss and Bolton--and then he ****ed up again.

Trump is the weapon of mass destruction sought after by elite ultra right wing billionaires and fundamentalist zealots who both share common ground, a seething hatred of both democracy and secularism. Both desire an authoritarian dictatorship, and since billionaires are insulated from the strictures and prohibitions of theocracy, its presence doesn't affect their lifestyle, and if anything, it enhances their grip on power.

The Trump Chaos Tornado is a carefully scripted psyop campaign designed to promote an increasingly feral society and to weaken America's basic democratic institutions. The end goal of the Trump agenda is to promulgate an eventual total breakdown in civil order, thus causing the masses to beg for a strongman to restore order, at any cost.

The ultimate goal of the Trump Republican Party is to render the United States utterly ungovernable.
Trump is merely the symbol and the symptom of a much larger problem, a devoutly stated intention to destroy the social contract and to replace it with a new order in which social and civil darwinism are enshrined via a state sanctioned kleptocracy.

I was shocked by what a hot mess he is.

I thought that was a show he put on, and that when it was time to get to business he would have some gravitas. I thought he would actually bring quality people onto his team.

I had no idea how bad his "it's all about me" issues were, or how threatened he would feel by anyone who was competent enough to be up to the job of helping run the country.

I had no idea that he was so intellectually compromised.

So....what do you think of the president and his administration?

he's a national embarrassment. about what i expected, though. he showed us what he was during the primary. i'm glad that he hasn't started a war yet. that could be catastrophic.

I first called tRump a fascist just weeks after he started his campaign in 2015. I have yet to receive a single reason to reconsider that position, now matter how much his loud minority of supporters howls to the contrary.

And we haven't even gotten to the part about his narcissism.

He's behaving just about as poorly as I expected.

Yeah, this. I would have bet the car that he would have tried to get a coalition behind him instead of doubling down on holding the approval of the stupidest, most hateful people in the country. But... it is what is.

This is probably accurate.

I never thought President Trump could be much worse than candidate Trump, until he was.

I never thought President Trump could be much worse than candidate Trump, until he was.

He is making errors all over the place. Still, he was worse during the campaign because he talked more. He really doesn't have a stable foreign policy, because his personal ego must be blessed from foreign leaders. That is not a message of a strong leader.

For somebody to demonstrate they are the worst president of all time in just this short of time is nothing to sneeze at.

Of course, what else would we expect of a mentally disturbed extreme narcissist who is also a pathological liar and sociopath who has no loyalties or allegiances to anything but his own temporary self interest when he is completely unqualified for the job and lacks the abilities to educated himself to how to properly do it?

Through the twin vehicles of dime store sermonizing and magna cum laude victimhood, Trump administration officials seek a holy war against anything that stands in the way of inserting fundamentalist dogma into the everyday business of government.
Women, gay people, non-Christians, immigrants, even ordinary liberals, be prepared to fight for your right to just survive because your very existence is viewed by Trump's holy minions as "an attack on their right to worship", even if by worship they mean "to attack your right to exist".

Trumpism is the textbook example of Karl Popper's Paradox of Intolerance writ large.

So....what do you think of the president and his administration?

As expected. Unfortunately, I expected the worst President in the History of the United States, and I was right.

So....what do you think of the president and his administration?
About what I expected - almost completely negative effects, with occasional glints of possible positive effects that are quickly subsumed by a new tidal wave of negative effects.

Question...

" How is Trump Working out for you? "
Perfectly.

"temporary self interest"

That phrase stands out to me because that's another thing which surprised me about Trump. How much of his longterm self interest he squanders for fleeting temporary self interest.

Someone so desperate for approval, yet he just keeps digging his hole deeper because he can't just be chill for a week straight. If he could ever do that, his approval rating would go up five points. If he could make it a month without acting like a child throwing a tantrum, his approval rating would go up ten points and start to be more in line with the ratings expected by a president with the current economic numbers.

But he can't do it. He just stews and rants about how mean people are to him and how negative coverage of him is and he can't get that it's negative because he can't stop stewing and ranting and manufacturing drama and giving people negative things to cover.

^^ that

If he could just be quiet for a week and stop turning on that wave machine ......

but he can't.

I’m surprised that most of his supporters apparently didn’t research his past. It just took a person to put on a wild show who claimed to bring down the Washington establishment. Not that it doesn’t need it, but I would surely have to believe that America would choose someone with integrity, sound business ethics, obvious leadership skills, no scandalous family life. Trump has decades of outrageous bull**** on his life’s resume. He’s everything the opposite in characteristics and ethics that America needs.

What I believe was Trump’s defining moment was during the debate with Hillary and he said something to the effect that he’s put her in jail. If Hillary needs to be in jail, Trump should be her cellmate. Hillary revenge bloomed a million fold. Hillary haters came out of the woodwork. Democrats were asleep at the wheel thinking Trump couldn’t beat her. Guess the saying “if you snooze you loose” is spot on.

So now he’s convinced millions that everything they see and hear isn’t real. Guess that means everything videoed and recorded interviews over the past 45 years of his life have been individually doctored. Amazing.

Nice little conspiracy theory you have cooking here.

You are 100% correct. That is an excellent observation that if he could just chill for a week it would benefit his numbers.

Its like when you have to change the babies diaper and instead of a reeking mess its neat little solid balls of crap that do not at all offend. Its a refreshing change from what you expected.

Sadly, Trump all gives us the reeking messy diaper that runs down his legs and takes a half a container of wet wipes to clean up. And that is on an almost daily basis.

You are 100% correct. That is an excellent observation that if he could just chill for a week it would benefit his numbers.

Thus I do not wish for him to chill in the least. In fact, I want him to keep upping the ante.
Why would I want for his numbers to benefit?

Bring it on, bring it all on, start the world war, start the race war, start the holy war.
Set it off.

I miscalculated the fragility of his ego. If he can be cheered by a crowd of 10k, he can pretend (like his inauguration) that it is a much bigger crowd than it is.
