I think anyone as wealthy as Trump has laundered money at some point. Whether it happened in Russia or not I have no idea.

You realize that he's been a con artist throughout his adult life, right?

He's stiffed many people and businesses, and probably transferred many of those gains offshore. Whether any of these transactions was the result of criminal activity rather than a civil case is another question.

That may be true. But of all the countries to exchange ill-gotten U.S. Dollars for and then offshore it into foreign real estate or business entities, Russian Rubles and purchasing real estate or business in Russia sounds like one of the dumbest things I could think of except perhaps for turning around and exchanging the money for the Zimbabwean Dollar or the Venezuelan Bolivar.

Yes, because many of his associates have said he has incredibly close ties to Russia, and his own Campaign Chairman Paul Manafort is currently on trial for that exact thing.
