No child should have to go through that.

But since you seem to support the policy, what should be done with the boy should Donny be convicted and thrown in jail followed by Ivanka being charged with immigration fraud?
 
Only if his father is charged with a misdemeanor.

I’ve actually been really consistent in saying children should not do time with their parents.
 
No. He resides with his parents in the White House, and I'd prefer he reside with them somewhere else.

On the other hand, I firmly believe his father deserves to be confined to a cage.

What if their parents haven't been convicted? Does that matter?
What's done with American kids who have been orphaned by the court? Are they kept in cages in warehouses and abandonded WalMarts?

The son of 45 and his grandchildren were so fortunate to wake up in their beds and be in the company of a parent. The same for those among us with children and grandchildren.
 
I would support sticking his father in one, so he can see how cruel he is being to these kids.

It is also rather shameful considering the experience of 2000 kids on the border in the month of May alone. I don't understand how some can turn everything into some tribal / culture war bull****. If something is morally and ethically abhorrent to the point of being unconscionable, then it is regardless of which party does it, or who is in power, or which team you think you are on.

Evidently though, the Peter Fonda comments (who is a nobody these days), some how creates another front in the culture war that makes the unconscionable act of taking 2000 kids from their parents and sending the off to shelters, where the government can't keep good track of them, OK.

I wonder if some of these people would so blindly support everything Trump does, just because he is on "their team", if Jesus was standing right next to them.
