So the fact that the economy is doing better is a disgusting topic? So disgusting we shouldn't bring it up on Memorial Day?

It's Memorial Day. That's the day in history that the rest of Americans honor our fallen soldiers and thank those who served, whether they survived or not, for their service. Our parents. Our grandparents.

It's never been the day that the Commander in Chief declares it "happy". It's never been the day that the Commander in Chief talks about black unemployment. It's been the day that the Commander in Chief focuses on the purpose of the day.

It's okay to criticize the President on any day of the year. Who said it wasn't?

So are you going to call me a puke or not? You said "anti-Trump pukes". I'm not a Trump supporter. You have my attention now. Go on.

Trump apparently acts like putting the ME back into Memorial Day is what its all about.
 
What really disgusted me was a guy in a truck, sporting an anti Trump sign, giving the guy in his Kia Seoul the finger for driving to slow. I guess he missed the WWII veteran sticker. Happened on Memorial Day and yes, the old man noticed. Yet here we are, thumping chests about another Gotcha, because Trump was pointing out how far we have come, thanks in part to our veterans, those who passed and those who are still among us.
Remember the days of "Obama didn't place his hands over his heart", "Obama mispronounced corpsman"? Just as trivial and childish when the roles were reversed, wasn't it?

I didn't hear about his speech until I got back home, which was not the same message that prompted my post! I was at our town's 150th consecutive Memorial Day Parade (since 1868) - in honor of those who gave their all, and I was remembering my favorite uncle who didn't come home. I just don't understand Trump's thinking sometimes.....
