We get enraged that another country would DARE to meddle in our business but we have no such outrage when we do it to others. My God, when you think about it, we've gone way past meddling; we've assassinated foreign leaders, and all through the Obama administration, and continuing into the Trump years, we regularly violate the airspace of other nations to conduct drone attacks despite the substantial "collateral damage"; code for killing innocent people. Where's our outrage?

I don't believe Trump will let Mueller complete his investigation. He is going to keep throwing hail mary passes until he finally fires Rosenstein and then attempts to pardon Manafort and Flynn. He got nothing to lose because he knows that Mueller has got the goods on him and throwing out the evidence that Mueller has on him is his only hope left. It's coming but possibly not until next year. Trump will wait until the end is near and then strike, he hopes with enough of his minions behind him to prevail. He won't.... He's mirroring Nixon and I don't think he even knows it. I even expect a "thumbs up" helicopter ride like Tricky Dick did.

This place is riddled with Russian trolls. Their own country is so f-ed up that they only way they can make money is trolling or mining asbestos.. Putin and his oligarchs has plundered all their wealth and now he is looking for more.

Viewing every issue strictly from an American point of view is another form of propaganda. And only a child believes objective truth is possible in politics. You probably still believe in Santa Claus , the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny.

I didn't say that objective truth is not possible; we see it in science all the time. But it is impossible to find it in politics. Those who believe otherwise probably also believe in Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny. I'll bet those guys are always welcome at your house.

What other outcome would one want other than that the bad guys are identified, caught and charged ensuring the security of the American legal system despite challenges.

And that measures are taken so that the kind of measures exposed cannot happen again.

Personally, I don't believe Trump is guilty of anything criminal. No doubt he has made some very smelly decisions, but he looks more guilty because he's **** scared and paranoid. Being a sociopath he lies to destroy his enemies several times over and he believes everyone else is the same way; crooked and stupid.

The US, Russia, and many other countries have been trying in influence other countries' elections for decades, if not centuries. That will probably never stop, although it is each country's responsibility to lessen that influence any way they can. This isn't something that just came up in 2016, as the left want everyone to believe. They're just making a big deal out of it because Hillary lost and they don't even have any proof that Hillary lost due to any influencing the Russians did.

Exactly. If we really wanted to go after people trying to influence our elections then we would target the Chinese first. Their money is all over US politics. The Russians are amateurs by comparison. Then we should apologize to all the countries whose elections we've meddled in, starting with Iran, where we directly overthrew a democratically elected President. Nobody has clean hands in this business. How arrogant to think we should be free to meddle but no one should meddle with us.

I'd like Mueller and his team to close up shop, transfer any unresolved court cases to various US Attorneys, write up a final cost statement...and go home. That's it.

The reason: The whole basis for the investigation was created whole cloth by the Obama administration. The only investigation necessary is the ongoing criminal investigation into the work illegal actions of various Obama pukes.

But every challenge I've seen against that integrity I hope exists has so far not held up under examination, so far as I can tell, so I'm at about 90% trust or so.
 
The truth, and also other: that basically everyone accepts the findings and reacts appropriately. I strongly suspect that the latter is a pipe dream.

The American Born Russophiles have their own take on who are the good guyz and who are the bad guyz.

The Putin-Trump Fanboyz are the vast majority of American Conservatives and virtually all of the self-called Libertarian Right guyz. Starting a decade ago Putin became their once in a lifetime gift. Now Trump is their deliverance. We see what the conservatives and libertarians are all about, i.e., conserving, preserving and reinstalling the world as it existed before 1789. The generic term is reactionary.
 
I'm hoping Mueller escapes unscathed and alive. Everything else is irrelevant, and let's get on with the jobs these people were elected to do.

Considering the liberals love the communist/socialist ideology Putin is the best role model out there for them. Could it be that liberals finally realize what a disaster liberalism has turned out to be? Bernie would make another Venezuela out of the United States. What conservatives are "all about" is preventing that from happening. We don't need more Russia's, China's, Venezuela's or Cuba's in the world. The generic term is crazy.

My self ID is Progressive. Think TR and FDR who promoted and improved capitalism. I'm a capitalist but not a Mises fascist. If you have a beef with liberals you'd do better to take it up with them. Liberals and progressives alike are familiar with the right wing strawmen and scarecrows as you present them in the post. We put the torch to 'em each time and you remake 'em each time anyway. Keep trotting 'em out and stick 'em up in the middle of the field.

I reiterate American Conservatives and Libertarian Right ideologues in USA have been Russophiles since Putin became president of Russia the second time. The American Born Russophiles and Putin admirers want the USA to be more like Russia than the other way around. Pointing at your strawmen and scarecrows doesn't change the reality.
