If they are not purposefully staged, then people are indeed seeing how much attention they are getting, and they might want to cash in on the "fun."

The left have spoken loudly and clearly. No decency. Just call everyone who doesn't agree with you deplorables, racists, bigots, misogynists, and accuse them of fighting a war on everyone. Shut up the other side's right to free speech, and try to remove them using every trick in the book and using every trick not in the book.
 
I voted "What's going viral mean?". I think the whole going viral/trending thing is contrived, along the lines of tabloid-style media.

Decency is anathema to these people.

There is no real national leadership. If anything the president gives the expression of hatred, bigotry, racism, and intolerance his tacit approval.
