Early 2020 poll

Early 2020 Poll

I'd rather have Trump as president than Bernie Sanders.

I'd rather have Trump as president than Bernie Sanders.

Goofy Bernie is already showing signs of losing it. He never was a credible candidate in the first place-rather being compared to Hillary made him look better than he actually is.

Since we're speculating, you forgot the number one Democratic candidate (by a long way); Oprah Winfrey

This is an early 2020 poll of likely candidates running. Out of them who will you either vote for or feel has the most likely chance of winning?

Pick from the following choices:

  • Donald Trump
  • Joe Biden
  • Bernie Sanders
  • Elizabeth Warren
  • Cory Booker
  • Kamala Harris
  • Mike Pence
  • Michael Avenatti
  • John Kasich
  • Kanye West

None of the above. I am voting 3rd party if my state doesn't screw 3rd party candidates and there is a 3rd party candidate I can tolerate. The poll choices suck ass. Basically the poll choices are RINOs,liberal nutjobs, liberals, crazy socialist, corporate butt kisser and crazy musician

I'm guessing (Hoping) for Kasik on the Republican side and Biden on the Dems.

I didn't see your choice.

I won't vote for Trump, so I'm none of the above.

I honestly don't understand the appeal of Joe Biden. Why him? Would you even consider him if he wasn't VP under Obama?

He's got that " I'm an ass kicker kisser look."

I sincerely wish him a long and successful political career. And I hope the current problems in Washingon DC do not hinder people from voting for him.....and any promotions he so very well deserves.

There, fixed it for you.

I'd vote for Bernie in a heartbeat. At this point I think Biden has an excellent shot at getting the Democratic nomination. I voted for Kamala Harris because I believe she would be excellent in the White House.

There's no way in hell I would support a Republican for president. The GOP for the most part has thrown it's kit in with Donald Trump and in so doing has shown that it has less balls than the Democratic Party, which is damned hard to do.

What is it about Kamala Harris that makes you think she would be 'excellent' in the White House?

I’m pretty sure everyone has a vote so don’t play that.

Sorry, I live in the real world.

That's the world where Kevin Phillips built the strategy to get racists into the Republican party, and later admitted it. It's the party that dog whistled racism until Trump said it openly.

Just so you know, I am a Bernie guy. I was tempted to not vote, but I knew Trump would be a few trillion times worse than Hillary.

Joe Biden is the most recognizable name among the dying Liberal-Boomer faction of the democratic party. With folks like Booker & Harris running, his being Obama's VP will not help him. Probably not a serious contender in the primaries IMO.

Kasich, Warren or Sanders, in that order. The rest are just downright terrible. I mean god awful.

My personal choice is Pence. However, Trump is most likely. It will be messy, but Trump is the most likely victor.

Meh. I’d have a lot more respect for Pence if he would just finally come out of the closet.

Cory Booker, because OMG he'd be a fantastic candidate; also, I'd vote for him.
John Kasich, because he'd be an excellent president; also, I'd vote for him unless he was running against Cory Booker.
Joe Biden, because he's most likely to win the nomination; also, I'd vote for him unless he was running against John Kasich.

Sorry, but Booker is repugnant with some of his positions and actions that he's taken.

Voted for Booker and Harris. For the people who voted Bernie, c'mon guys -- he wasn't even able to beat Hillary Clinton, an eminently unlikable human being. Let it go, people. He had his chance.

Bernie isn’t ideal, but he is better than the others on the list. And I assumed this was about the General election. Bernie would still have a tough time winning the Primary. And unfortunately in our system the types of people most likely to win general elections aren’t necessarily the types of people most likely to win primaries. That is how we ended up with the two least popular candidates in US history in our last presidential general election.

So because the guy lost in a blatantly skewed Dem primary against a household name when starting with essentially 0 recognition at 3% support to Hillary's 60%+, and consistently scored far better, double digit better, than both her and Trump in aggregate polling among independents and the general electorate somehow isn't a viable candidate? Nevermind that the electoral base of the Dem party is vastly different from that of the general population, or that Bernie is now a universally recognized political icon and consistently ranks as the most popular federal level politico in the country.

Booker and Harris are standard corporatists pretending at being something more; Biden doesn't even pretend.

Why Harris will never have my vote in the primaries:

As to Biden, the reasons for my dislike of him should be painfully self-evident; now that Clinton is gone, among possible presidential contenders, he is by far the most blatant establishment icon and torch bearer of the status quo.

I do not and will not support candidates that are openly bought by powerful, monied interests and their SuperPacs/astroturfers/lobbyists; that way lies more of the same corporatism which has given rise to the greatest level of economic inequality since the gilded age, has resulted in real wage stagnation persisting since the late 60s ( For most workers, real wages have barely budged for decades | Pew Research Center ), declining life expectancies (otherwise unheard of in developed countries) , and above all, a plutocracy of a federal government run, in practice, by the rich, for the rich ( https://scholar.princeton.edu/sites...testing_theories_of_american_politics.doc.pdf ); which leaves me with Bernie, and, possibly, Elizabeth Warren or Tulsi Gabbard should she decide to run.

Why would anyone vote for Kanye West? I mean come the **** on he shouldn't even be an option, replace him with Rand Paul f.f.s...

You're gonna get torn up for making that comment, not by me because I like you, but I figured I'd let you know ahead of time...

This far out, predictions are meaningless. You will always have a couple who have run before and seem to run every presidential election cycle. Then you'll have several fresh faces. When Bill Clinton, G.W. Bush, Obama and Trump ran and won, they were fresh faces. None of them had run for the presidency before. The last president who ran for a second time and won was Reagan. But Reagan came within a hounds tooth of defeating a then sitting president Ford in 1976 for the GOP nomination.\

I'll wait until some of these fresh faces start to appear.

Too late.

Can't vote, but if I could, Sanders or Warren from that list, although if someone similarly to the left who was younger appeared, then they would get it.
