I remember when Obama sent Bill Clinton to secure the release of prisoners from North Korea and all the conservatives here and on Fox News considered it "a triumph of the Obama doctrine."

1. Its easy to welch on a deal. Trump is actually very good at that.
2. Stocks up and the economy strong was done by the last guy.
3. Cutting taxes ain't that hard, yet he made it hard.
4. You do realize that 2 of the 3 people freed were captured during the Trump administration. Hard to blame that one on Obama. The other one was captured very late in Obama's term

Most of us are not impressed. The guy can't get his approval rating above 45 even with a great economy, in his honeymoon. That is pretty pathetic.

I don't think you really have a clue how difficult the job of POTUS is. Compare pictures of presidents at the beginning and ending of their terms to see the impact of the stress on their bodies. Trump is doing this job part-time; playing lots of golf and worrying about personal matters (including his many, many, many legal problems).... the job really isn't getting done.

That was a good one -- Trump gloating about how Obama had been unable to secure the release of two guys who were arrested after Obama had already left office.

He is excruciatingly painfully ignorant.

And some of his supporters even know how ignorant he is but don't care because all that matters to them is how much pain he's causing to those who don't like him.

Actually in addition to being involuntarily attracted to the authoritarian, I think Trump fans
also find the incessant serial lies compelling. They even trivialize it, attempt to explain
it away with, "he sez what is on his mind."

No, he sizes you (the Trump fan) up and tells you what he
expects you want to hear. All of it is about who you are, in his eyes. He knows
what buttons to push, on the strength of further exploiting your involuntary attraction
