Re: What percent of Trump's tweets are objectively concerning and what percent left hysteria?

I'm sorry I hurt your feelings. Your hack poll used language that you made up. Congratulations, I think Google may give you a certificate for having your term come up #1 in search results.

I don't respond to polls, I try to understand the motivation of the person asking the poll question and reading the explanations of the other posters. Sometimes it forces me to think about things in a different way. Most polls are are straight forward, others are written by people who just learned new terms, yours was only interesting because you apparently invented a new term and I was curious what you intended to mean. To your credit, you did finally answer.

No reason to run from your hack thread, that is exactly what you intended it to be.

Lol nice attempt at saving face.

From now on, whenever I think of you, I'll think "objectively concerning". An expression you invented just for this poll.

Indeed my posts do concern you endlessly.

Re: What percent of Trump's tweets are objectively concerning and what percent left hysteria?

Really depends what you mean by concerning ultimately.

For example, you seem to suggest saying something "inflammatory" is "concerning". Concerning individually? Concerning in a more universal fashion? Concerning from an actual tangible, serious level in terms of the administration of government? All that's very different.

I'd say, to most liberals, a lot of what Trump says is probably about around 80% legitimately "concerning" for them, with the rest being more "hysteria" in terms of making assumptions and guesses and reading in things that aren't plainly there to add to their "concern". I'd say that number is likely a bit lower for conservative anti-Trumpers, as there's less legitimate "concern" about some of his policy things that may get said but still likely concern, and hysteria, over the more commentary type things he randomly goes off about.

I'd say for society in general, it's about 50/50. It's "concerning" that we have a President being this ridiculous on Twitter in general, but I also think ultimately it's of little real long term concern or issue in terms of the Presidency or our culture and is likely very isolated to Trump and as such the concern isn't as big as many make it out.

I'd say in terms of it being a legitimate "problem", I'd say it's probably more 10-20% legitimately "concerning". First off, I think many that are on twitter are some of the dredges of society are don't represent the majority of people, and Trump's words or statements aren't actually going to significantly make them any different. Second, I think because of the first thing I pointed out, if every tweet of his wasn't treated in such hysteria and given so much attention, they'd not have near the reach or impact and the attention is simply there in part to HELP foment hysteria. Third, while asinine, hateful, or stupid at times, I don't think in the grand scale of things with a President that they are that serious or important or impactful, and the "concern" over them as such a thing is largely hysteria.

Re: What percent of Trump's tweets are objectively concerning and what percent left hysteria?

Poor me, I just needed some context *sniff *sniff. Get outta here with that.

haha. The context always shows Trump in the wrong. Always. That's why CNN or whoever else debunks the tweets are fake news. They don't want to hear them being debunked.

Re: What percent of Trump's tweets are objectively concerning and what percent left hysteria?

You young lefties may not realize it, but we've seen this game before...with Reagan and with Goldwater. It's old hat. Clear thinking people understand that the msm are cheerleaders for everything progressive and socialist, and hate mongers for anything conservative.

If not for the "Daisy" nuclear bomb commercial in 1964, Goldwater had a shot. Instead, leftie Johnson got us heavily involved in the Vietnam conflict costing over 50,000 American lives....all done behind our backs. That's why I laugh at you all when you bash and fear everything that president Trump tweets...believe me, he knows what he's doing. He's certainly not going to throw billions of dollars at bloody dictators with the hopes of buying them off.

Peace through strength!

For the record, I was not talking about other posters. I am discussing conservatives in general.

Sorry Zyphlin I had to step away and think about where I was heading. I'll keep my posts on topic.

Re: What percent of Trump's tweets are objectively concerning and what percent left hysteria?

Really depends what you mean by concerning ultimately.

Meaning, there are teeth there. If it's objectively concerning, the concern is rooted in facts proving that people should be concerned. Rather than concern deriving from a subjective interpretation. For example, someone may be concerned in a subjective way, if their husband tweets out, "yolo, here's to feeling young again." but, then comes home the same man they've always known. However, someone may be objectively concerned, if their husband tweets out, "yolo, here's to feeling young again." and then comes home drunk driving a brand new BMW. Does that make sense?

For example, you seem to suggest saying something "inflammatory" is "concerning". Concerning individually? Concerning in a more universal fashion? Concerning from an actual tangible, serious level in terms of the administration of government? All that's very different.

I didn't mean him saying things to troll people was chief among my concerns. I meant that his tweets, his communications, simultaneously repel liberals and attract conservatives. And that for the things that aren't just disagreements on policy, the things that liberals trumpet, some of the accusations of impropriety, the Gillibrand comment, comes to mind, accusations of sexism, what share are objectively concerning, and not a liberal supplanting reason for outrage?

I'd say, to most liberals, a lot of what Trump says is probably about around 80% legitimately "concerning" for them, with the rest being more "hysteria" in terms of making assumptions and guesses and reading in things that aren't plainly there to add to their "concern".
