Harbingers for massive, entirely avoidable casualties? :

6 of the 9 top Dept. of State offices remain unfilled, 1 of 3 is filled by former Fox n Friends TH.

Undermining of reputation independent journalistic reporting and the ethics and reliability. FBI, DOJ, and the judiciary

No country with deployed nuclear weapons has ever denuclearized.

The V.A. sec. appointment of Adm. Ronny Jackson, another example in a long line of unsuitable, unqualified, or unethical Trump appointments.

As a result of Trump undermining news gatherers and the rule of law, and Trump's serial, compulsive lying, Trump has near
unquestioning, unconditional support of his fans.

Seeing your avatar, and after reading the first paragraph of this poll told me this is an extremely biased poll.
I am disappointed there were no "Hitler" comments to read. Usually they are rife in these type threads.

Trump is a bowling ball and the world beyond his fans are pins. Do you think Jerusalem, for example, just happens to not have foreign embassies?
Trump & Trumpism are provocation, incompetent and unethical, but nonetheless aggressive, unempathetic, and bullying for the sake of it.

Trump is a match looking for dry straw or gasoline. Would you attempt to negotiate a treaty or any agreement with Trump? He is as good as his
word and his word is a lie.

I already AGREED WITH YOU, that you are a Trump hater.
You hate Trump. I get it.
If no one got that from your avatar, they sure did with this poll.

I am not a Trump hater. It is reasonable for any informed person to react to what Trump says, does, and plans with revulsion, as
well as to his apologists, defenders, or supporters. The president of the United States described FBI execution of judicially approved search
warrants as a break-in and as an attack on the country.

Do you hate the United States?

Your avatar does a lot to PROVE you are a Trump hater. Deny all you want to, but as long as you have that silly and childish avatar up by your name, you will not convice anyone you do not HATE TRUMP.

Do I hate the United States?
Hmmm.....simply because I neither hate nor love Trump and do not join with you in your visceral hatred?
Rather than answer your silly question, I will just make a mental note to myself to quit logging on here past the witching hour.

When I first joined, I think I put about 12 on my IGNORE list the first week by logging on past midnight.
My guess is after Momma goes to bed, they satisfy themselves with their porn, and then log onto Debate Politics.
That would explain a lot.

This is actually one of his more coherent polls.

Moving our embassy to Jerusalem is one of the things Trump's done I like best. Israel's obviously down for it. What business really is of anyone else? I swear sometimes the "international community" is like that mean girl that doesn't want anyone to like who they don't.

I see as this as one giant hissy fit! The poll is ridiculous.
Just a deep seated hate for the Trump administration.

That won't result in 500,000 avoidable deaths, but considering the Trump Administration's gutting of EPA protections, their environmental policy may well result in tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of premature deaths over the course of the next decade. (pollution kills a lot more people than most people realize)

What on Earth does your post have anything to do with the thread title of "Will Trump and Trumpism result in 500,000+ avoidable deaths in next 7 - 10 yrs?"?

Just a deep seated hate for the Trump administration.

No more ridiculous than Trump appointed Def Sec Mattis once stating,
"If you cut the budget of the Dept. Of State, I will have to buy more ammunition,"
or words to that effect.:

Wait and see, the blood will run. It is obvious where we are headed, just by who is
appointed by Trump and which positions are left unfilled, and Trump attempting to
be the unaccountable one and only one who counts. The reporting yesterday is
Trump increasing use of his private cell phone in an effort to keep his COS Kelly
from learning who Trump is talking to. Next stop is reneging on the Iran nuclear
agreement, resulting in no one in their right mind seriously attempting to negotiate
anything with US gov. representatives led by incoherent serial liar Trump.

Harbingers for massive, entirely avoidable casualties?

~snipped all the Trump hater nonsense~

Yeah...I had to answer, "No, what are you talking about?", since I have no idea what this "500,000+" is all about.

I don't think you know, either.

Or, maybe you are just doing this:

Why nuclear war with North Korea is less likely than you think
By Elizabeth N. Saunders and Michael C. Horowitz January 3
.....If war occurs, one pathway is through a misreading of one side’s incentives by the other. For example, Kim’s desire to stay in power could lead Trump to believe that, even in the face of limited U.S. strikes against North Korean nuclear and missile facilities, Kim will back down instead of escalate. But it would be hard to credibly signal that those strikes would be limited, and if Kim believes the United States is coming after him, escalation becomes more likely.

Of course, war could also come via miscalculation and, eventually, some kind of preemptive strike. But research suggests that war spirals of that sort are extremely rare.

Analysis: Bolton’s Appointment Ups Odds of War
Incoming national security adviser is a hard-liner on Iran and North Korea

@johnmdonnelly
...Bolton is one of the most hawkish voices in America. To some, that’s just what is needed in a troubled world. And tough talk has its place. It’s arguable that North Korea would not have considered talking to the United States had Trump not made the U.S. military threat seem more credible through his often bellicose — and, yes, frightening — tweets.

Still, the elevation of Bolton to Trump’s security consigliere carries major risks, to put it mildly.

National security advisers are supposed to present the president and his top aides with options from across the government on questions of defense, intelligence and diplomacy. They should share their candid views in the debate, but they are primarily brokers of it.....
