Good person? I think he has an ego. In terms of supporting the right policies I do believe that. I'd much prefer Pence be the president.

Trump is about as bad as you can get without being a child molester ... and the way he acted around teen beauty pageant contestants puts him uncomfortably close to even that category.

He's the personification of amoral.

So?

What I get from that is that Americans have a very low 'good' threshold and high degree of rude.

This post is like the drunk at a party, hopelessly trying to get attention deciding to lay down a big fart and ****s himself instead. It is rude. It is stupid. It is also really ****ing desperate.

and actually rather boring

Relax.
The poll said that 51% of those polled approved of his job performance.
IOW, at least with the 51% polled, they don't need a saint in the WH.

Is Trump a good person? I am not going to try to define good person. Based it on what you believe makes a human being a good person.

I am not asking if he needs to be a good person in order to do his job.

He certainly has a lot of strikes against him: liar, cheater, thief, rabble rouser, etc. So, No.

Trump did not serve, due to medical deferment. My brother (who had arthritis) was drafted during Nam, and nearly killed. Trump cheated on multiple wives. Trump would not reveal his tax returns (still hasn't) while other presidents did. Everyone claims he was a successful businessman, despite numerous bankruptcies. He's insulted minorities, women, veterans, the poor, the handicapped. Really? Are those the actions of a good person?

It's scary how as recently as last summer, 50% of evangelicals polled said he's a good roll model for young people.

You do realize that Rasmussen Reports has for well over a decade published polls skewed strongly to the right, don't you? One thing they often do is to call only landlines - which means that they automatically leave out the majority of younger people who don't have landlines but only have cell phones. That in and of itself ensures that they mostly talk only to older - and thus more conservative - voters.

That's how their polls become so skewed.

I agree because I in fact got a call from what I must assume was them polling me about how I felt about the President and my likelihood to vote in the next election (midterm and Presidential) right after helping my son do homework one evening, on our home phone (it is meant to be a safety net for our children since they currently do not have cell phones of their own, but we still answer it on occasion). I don't think I'm old, except in military years, but I hopefully put a little more skew in the left direction back in at least that one poll (unsurprisingly, I have not been called back by them).

Absolutely not. He's a reprehensible person.

Trump is not a good person.

In fact, IMO, Trump is so bad a person that it actually DOES have a negative effect on his ability to be president.

The real reason Trump commuted the 27-year sentence of a kosher meat packing exec

  • President Trump commuted Sholom Rubashkin's 27 year prison sentence..
  • The decision seems to have no real political or financial benefits connected to it.
  • But it does fit a pattern of President Trump taking on the D.C. bureaucratic establishment by championing an issue close to religious Jews.

3 Things Politico Got Wrong In Tying Chabad To Trump’s Russia Scandal

  • Did Chabad influence any of the business deals or relationships between Putin’s oligarchs, their friends and Trump? The article never reports any influence.
  • Did Trump meet any of his Russian business partners through Chabad? Not according to the article.
  • Did Chabad play a role in Kushner’s success shepherding Trump’s presidential campaign? If it did, the article doesn’t say so.

He can be an ass sometimes, but he's not a terrible person by any means.

I resent how Trump has dumbed down the GOP and the conservative movement. When you have evangelical "leaders" wholeheartedly embracing a serial adulterer, it's obvious that the culture has been thrown into the mud. The political parties appear to find the worst possible person with elections becoming a race to the bottom. In 2016, the Democrats won the race to the bottom by a nose.

Funny, how someone says they are not particulary liberal, laughably ignorant, in fact! :)

He was willing to walk away from his empire to create a better USA for everyone including tbe sorry assed TDS tribe.

Or did you want another eight years of “ordinary” presidents kissing Chinas ass while they stole every shred of R&D, tech, bio, and pharma they could get their criminal hands on.

If you want proof of insanity, wanting to be president of this snake pit is proof positive you are crazy. He should have remembered the metaphor of the poison snake.

Trump hasn't divested from his businesses. So, I believe a more accurate post would be one slamming him for conflicts of interest, lol.

It doesn't matter....nothing matters to small hands's sycophants. Trump and his buddy Broidy both had unprotected sexual relations with gals
who were not 'zactly church ladies and Michael Cohen "fixed" both situations. The Broidy and Trump wives both now know their spouses' side
practices, barebackin' dirty girls and then relying on Cohen to silence the girls, yet neither wife has left her spouse.

Same syndrome holds the faithful who don't care if Trump misled them about his selfless service to his country BS. They are
held to Trump just as his wife is deluded into hanging in there.
We are all Mrs. Trumps now and we are lovin' it, believe us!
