11. "His face appeared slightly orange with bright white half-moons under his eyes where I assumed he placed small tanning goggles, and impressively coifed, bright blond hair, which upon close inspection looked to be all his.....As he extended his hand, I made a mental note to check its size. It was smaller than mine, but did not seem unusually so."

"Didn't do it myself, for a variety of reasons. But I asked him to, because I thought that might prompt the appointment of a special counsel. And so I asked a close friend of mine to do it," Comey told Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine). Collins asked who that was, and he responded, without providing a name, "A good friend of mine who’s a professor at Columbia Law School."

Who is James Comey's friend and leaker Daniel Richman? - ABC News

Bernie Sanders:

"Comey acted in an outrageous way during the campaign, clearly his behavior during the campaign in terms of what he said in the week or two before the election was unacceptable."

Nancy Peolosi:

"Maybe he's not in the right job, I think that we have to just get through this election and just see what the casualties are along the way."

IMO James Comey reputation and career in public service has been tarnished and can no longer be repaired. This guy really takes the cake. He's a showboat, grandstander and was secretly jealous of all the attention Trump was receiving.

You can argue Trump is a national disgrace, but Trump didn't spend his entire life in the government/office. Trump was a reality TV star! Comey seems to be auditioning for a reality tv show! Comey has some appetite for the national spotlight.

This guy is surprisingly emotional and acts more like female millennial than a former FBI director. Here is a story about him almost crying:

In “A Higher Loyalty,” Comey says he came into a post-election Oval Office sit-down with Obama with a bad case of the jitters.

But instead of a tongue-lashing, Obama delivered words of praise.

“I picked you to be FBI director because of your integrity and your ability,” the president said, according to Comey. “I want you to know that nothing — nothing — has happened in the last year to change my view.”

Comey was overcome with emotion.

“Boy, were those words I needed to hear,” he writes.

“I felt a wave of emotion, almost to the verge of tears.”

And this guy was the Director of the FBI??? Seriously???

No. But, Trump certainly is a national disgrace.

Agreed on Trump being a national disgrace. Explaining him to friends overseas is embarrassing.

This thread isn't about Trump calamity. And if you are going to argue Trump is a disgrace, James Comey is one petty, emotional, old guy.

He wrote a book about his hands being bigger than Trump's and wanting to cry after talking to Obama?

When Trump said Comey was a grandstander, this book tour may prove Trump was right all along.

I think the guy that constantly seeks approval by bragging about his education and wealth is the grandstander.

And Trump is a pathological liar in so many regards, it's comedic anybody takes his word at anything.

Petty, emotional old guy? Sounds like we've got another juvenile unhinged tweetstorm coming!

Wait, which one are we talking about?

Mark my words. James Comey will be President one day. I can't wait to see you implode when that happens.

Yeah some people are clearly confused by names. I cannot believe that RWNJs are saying this stuff with a straight face. My boss, is a huge trump supporter and he says all greedy people who stick it to the little guy get what's coming to them. I have gotten tired of saying, "but trump."

He cant be one of the top 100 people or even 500 in America to Run the FBI.

That he made it is a disgrace.

We must do better.

I didn't vote. I don't think he's a national disgrace, yet. Things don't look good for him. The mismanagement of the top levels of the FBI are starting to become apparent. McCabe tried to throw him under the bus, with false testimony, to the DOJ OIG. To date the Deputy Director of the FBI has been fired. Chief of the Counterespionage Section and had a key role in the Clinton Email investigation (Strzok), has been demoted and reassigned. The Sr. Counsel for the Deputy Director of the FBI has been demoted and reassigned. The FBI's general counsel (James Baker) has been reassigned for. McCabe's whole team has been reassigned and replaced per order of Wray, Director of the FBI. FBI Asst. Director Michael Kortan has resigned (mentioned in the Strzok/Page texts). That's a lot of high placed people in the FBI. The DOJ OIG hasn't completed his report yet but it widely believed by parties on both sides that the results won't paint Comey or the senior leadership in the FBI in a positive light. Comey has a very high opinion of himself and that's what bit him. He was so confident that he didn't see what a slime ball McCabe was. McCabe built his little fiefdom right under Comey's nose and Comey never saw it. It took an outside investigator to expose McCabe for what he is while he McCabe tried to throw Comey under the bus. We are going to see much much more incompetency exposed in the leadership from the FBI than what we have seen so far. Comey's a disgrace but not to our country or the FBI. The FBI is still full of people that go to work everyday and risk their lives to keep us safe. Sure there are some bad apples in the bunch but the vast majority of them are dedicated to their job and mission.

If the name of Lev Leviev, which has come up in recent reports about the investigations of Jared Kushners Russian connections, rings familiar, its not without good reason. Leviev, who was born in the Soviet Uzbek Republic, and immigrated to Israel at age 14, has been one of the worlds most successful and diversified businessmen for years. He is best known for having cracked the monopoly over the worlds diamond market held by the De Beers cartel back in the 1980s, and for real estate holdings and construction deals in locations ranging from Wall Street to the West Bank. With the encouragement of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneersohn,.. At the same time, he became a close friend of Vladimir Putin and also a Jewish philanthropist unequaled since the legendary Moses Montefiore. ....

On Friday while his lawyers were in court pleading on his behalf that Cohen's seized records were protected from seizure by attorney-client privilege, sly dog Michael Cohen was photographed in front of the Loew's hotel he is temporarily residing in, seated next to and talking with Lev Leviev's former right hand man, Rostem Rosen.

Mr. Sapir (pronounced suh-PEER), 52, left the Soviet Union in 1973 with a wave of Jewish immigrants. He landed in New York in 1976, where he drove a cab for three years before borrowing $10,000 against his taxi medallion to open a small electronics store. The store, at 200 Fifth Avenue in the Flatiron neighborhood, became a wholesale outlet for Soviet diplomats, K.G.B. agents and Politburo members.

I have mixed feelings about Comey. I don't understand why he came out with "Hillary's emails" but mentioned little to nothing about the Russian investigation.
I don't particularly think he's a disgrace......the jury is still out.

But even with that stain on his record, I don't deem him a disgrace.

"Wasn't the decision to reveal influenced by your assumption that Hillary Clinton was going to win, and your concern that, she wins, this comes out several weeks later and then that's taken by her opponents as a sign that she's an illegitimate president?," Stephanopoulos asks.

"It must have been," Comey responds, adding, "I don't remember consciously thinking about that, but it must have been. I was operating in a world where Hillary Clinton was going to beat Donald Trump. I'm sure that it was a factor. I don't remember spelling it out, but it had to have been. That she's going to be elected president, and if I hide this from the American people, she'll be illegitimate the moment she's elected, the moment this comes out."

He came out in order to legitimize Hillary's presidency. Either he is a liar or a damn fool.

There is no collusion.....no collusion, believe me! Witch Hunt!!!!

Are we gonna be alright...without Comey and McCabe, I mean?

Starting in 1999, [Vladimir] Putin enlisted two of his closest confidants, the oligarchs Lev Leviev and Roman Abramovich, who would go on to become Chabad’s biggest patrons worldwide, to create the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia under the leadership of Chabad rabbi Berel Lazar, who would come to be known as “Putin’s rabbi.”

Both of your posts have been about issues other than Comey. Can you track on one subject or are you just easily distracted? Maybe it's just your goal to tard up threads with copious amounts of obtuse BS.

Ever since Trump has been elected for many liberals, they are still recovering. I think attacking Trump is a coping mechanism.

It's just more of the eternal tantrum stuff. I don't mind if people just focus and stay on subject. Of course it would be nice if people made an honest attempt to post something intelligent rather than "I hate Trump" rants. Yeah, we got that already.

I thought my last few posts provided valuable details explaining why Trump did and said:

[h=3]Trump Told Russians That Firing 'Nut Job' Comey Eased Pressure ...[/h]https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/19/us/politics/trump-russia-comey.html
May 19, 2017 - Credit Russian Foreign Ministry. WASHINGTON — President Trump told Russian officials in the Oval Office this month that firing the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, had relieved “great pressure” on him, according to a document summarizing the meeting. “I just fired the head of the F.B.I. He was crazy, a real ...

(People close to Leviev put that figure closer to $8 billion.) However much Leviev has, he is hungry for more. His business role model is Bill Gates, whom he says he hopes to eventually join in what he calls, in Russian-accented Hebrew, “the world’s starting 10.”...

You start out about Comey and wind up way out in Trumpsucks land with rants and pictures of Cohen and some diamond guy and Trump and some other dead guy. They aren't "valuable details". In the post of yours that I responded to you didn't even mention Comey. It was 100% Cohen sucks. The guy sucks, we get it.

From everything I can see, Comey is a flawed human being who has tried to do the right thing but sometimes failed to do that - case in point the October Clinton investigation reopen - and sometimes succeeds in doing the right thing like in his opposition to Trump.

He should have been fired for what he did in October with Clinton as it helped decide the election for Trump and his reasons are totally unconvincing and rather foolish. There is no doubt in my mind that he did it to protect his precious FBI. But the timely firing did not happen - either by President Obama or by President Trump when he took office. Instead Trump failed him later as part of a cover-up to stop an investigation which threatened his own ass.

Comey helped Trump get elected.

But even with that stain on his record, I don't deem him a disgrace.

I am curious to hear his reasons behind his pre-election actions regarding Hillary's emails. Then I'll decide if he's a disgrace or not.
