White Power? Is this persuasive evidence of Trump's and his supporters' race relations regression?

Is Trumpism a racist political movement? Will it support the primacy of the rule of law?

Working for America in the WH while Trump is still there is most often referred as a bad career choice.

Which would make the white people there the dim ones.

Many of us have been saying that for a while now.

Many of us have been saying that for a while now.

Many have, and those who do should not come to me complaining that "People of color" are not in the picture, are not there, telling me stories about how there is so important because it is so great that this represents an injustice. It is important to pick a story, and to then stick to it, if I am to spend time listening to what you have to say...you being figurative in this sentence.

Yes, that's how it is. Check the dictionary.

person of color
noun
plural: people of color

a person who is not white or of European parentage.

Blacks are included in that, obviously, but it doesn't only mean black. This is common usage. Are you not from America?

Until it's time for the "white hispanic" to be put into use. :lamo

White House Internship Program
Selection Process

The White House Internship Program selection process is highly competitive. Applicants are encouraged to submit a thorough application that illustrates their qualifications, character, and commitment to public service.

Where's the racism?

Interesting that The Trump Administration lists a commitment to the mission of the Trump Administration as a criteria. The Obama Administration had no such requirement.

Obama's description of White House Interns:

http://www.dccenter.uci.edu/docs/whitehouse.pdf

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, 18 years of age on or before the first day of the internship, and meet at least one of the following criteria:
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a college, community college, or university (two-to-four year institution)
• Graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program at a college, community college, or university (two-to-four year institution) no more than two years before the first day of the internship
• A veteran of the United States Armed Forces who possesses a high school diploma or its equivalent and has served on active duty, for any length of time, in the two years preceding the first day of the internship.

So your question is where is the racism? How do you think the Trump Administration measures the commitment to the Trump Administration?

Donald Trump Says Central Park Five Are Guilty, Despite DNA Evidence
by BENJY SARLIN

Wading into a racially-charged case from his past, Donald Trump indicated that the "Central Park Five" were guilty, despite being officially exonerated by DNA evidence decades after a notorious 1989 rape case.

"They admitted they were guilty," Trump said to CNN in a statement.

https://www.cnn.com/2016/10/06/politics/reality-check-donald-trump-central-park-5/

...Washington (CNN)A member of the "Central Park 5" who was wrongfully convicted in a horrific 1989 New York rape case blasted Donald Trump Friday after the GOP presidential nominee said he believes the group is still guilty.

"What more do we have to prove? I'm tired of proving our innocence! I don't care what this a------ thinks @realDonaldTrump #centralpark5," Raymond Santana Jr. tweeted......
......
The Central Park 5 were exonerated, and in 2014, New York paid them a $41 million settlement.
Trump, however, still is not buying their innocence.
"They admitted they were guilty," Trump said this week in a statement to CNN's Miguel Marquez. "The police doing the original investigation say they were guilty. The fact that that case was settled with so much evidence against them is outrageous. And the woman, so badly injured, will never be the same."
Trump obviously still believes that the Central Park 5 are guilty, so it cannot be said he is lying or even misleading. But he is undoubtedly holding steadfast to an opinion in the face of DNA evidence to the contrary and the fact that the Central Park 5 have been exonerated by the legal system.
Ken Burns, who co-directed a 2012 documentary on the case, tweeted Friday: "Apparently Mr. Trump is unfamiliar with the concept of wrongful conviction."

"The police doing the original investigation say they were guilty. The fact that that case was settled with so much evidence against them is outrageous. And the woman, so badly injured, will never be the same."

The five men were convicted as teenagers after implicating each other under intense questioning over a brutal sexual assault on a jogger that dominated the tabloids. Defenders said they were coerced into confessing and all five were later cleared by DNA evidence and a separate confession in 2002 from another criminal who took credit for the assault.

New York paid them $41 million in a settlement in 2014 over their ordeal.

Trump took out a full-page ad at the time of the crime calling for New York to reinstate the death penalty in response.

The case was notable for its racial politics: Four of the Central Park Five were black and one was Latino while the victim was a white banker.

Hillary Clinton's campaign denounced Trump's recent statements on the case Friday.....

This feels like something on the Truman Show, but no......he is actually the POTUS.....

Whatever.

"Person of color" doesn't only mean black.

Are we literally witnessing the last gasp of this petty, racist nonsense before time overtakes and marginalizes Trump, his movement, and his party,
or will they literally bloody the rest of us, digging their claws in, attempting to dismantle the rule of law, by insisting Trump is above it?

I don't know how important it is to determine whether it's a racist movement or not.
Yeah sure, that aspect of it is terrible, and it might be important but what's even more important is the fact that Trump supporters DO SUPPORT HIM OVER THE RULE OF LAW,
and President Donald Trump considers himself to be ABOVE THE LAW.

And that's one of the main reasons WHY so many racists find him appealing.
If he wasn't President, they would not be enjoying the explosive growth we are seeing right now.

So are all Trump supporters racist? OF COURSE NOT, but does it even matter when SO DAMN MANY of them are?
Are we seeing knock down, drag-out fights where NON-RACIST Trump supporters are beating the crap out of racist Trump supporters?
If so, please show me! I've searched and never found anything. How about where they just disown and disavow them?

As to whether or not we are witnessing the last gasp, I wonder.
Sometimes I think that you could get rid of a dozen Donald Trumps and there'd be another dozen waiting in the wings.
He's not so much the problem as he is the SYMPTOM.

Perhaps, but it is the WH that chooses the interns and the color is quite white, literally. The only thing from your comments is shouting "White Power, White Power". Tell us, do you enjoy being the KKK grand wizard with your "eastern training"?

How many POC interns actually applied to work with Trump?

I'm curious to know this as well.

It would be a nifty circular reasoning loop if:

1. Republicans are racist
2. Why would I want to work for a racist? Nope, not going to apply.
3. Look at how little diversity there is. I'm so glad I didn't apply, seeing as how it's so RACIST over there. Just look at how little diversity there is...
4. ?????

I think our questions have been made obsolete as this picks up speed. It now doesn't seem premature to ask
if the military is going to follow this POTUS, his party, and his fans down the rabbit hole when orders them to preserve him instead of the rule of law
and what the reaction of state and local LEO is. It seems he has gotten away with his attacks against the FBI, intelligence agencies, judiciary, and the DOJ.
He has been steadfast in supporting any and every excess of other LEO.

Will taxpayer financed military and law enforcement join the mob and act as its muscle? Will it be at first manifested in internal violence along racial lines of military and LEO?

A professor and author who once presented himself as a possible Trump administration ambassador to the European Union was detained and questioned
by the FBI at Boston Logan airport and served a subpoena from Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is probing possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.

...Then, said Malloch, "The questions got more detailed about my involvement in the Trump campaign (which was informal and unpaid);

..."What could they want from me — a policy wonk and philosophical defender of Trump?" said Malloch. "I am not an operative, have no Russia contacts,
and—aside from appearing on air and in print often to defend and congratulate our President — have done nothing wrong. What message does this send?"...

It is possible that a fair portion of the MIL and LEO might do that but I think that there might be plenty who are horrified by such a notion.
Guess what that would devolve into...

So do the Trump loyalists in MIL/LEO try to fight their own internal opposition?
That's weakness, thus while alarming at the outset, doomed to failure.

So your question is where is the racism? How do you think the Trump Administration measures the commitment to the Trump Administration?

Are you claiming that Obama picked people that worked for him without taking race or religion having any impact on his decision? I just want to make sure that is our claim. It seems pretty clear but I want to be crystal clear that what you are claiming is what I understand that you are claiming.

It is more nuanced than a bit of oppo research.

Did Hillary Clinton call African-American youth 'superpredators?' | PolitiFact
Did Hillary Clinton call African-American youth 'superpredators?'
By Allison Graves on Sunday, August 28th, 2016

.....The "superpredator" remark, which Priebus and Trump referenced, was in the same speech a few lines later.

"But we also have to have an organized effort against gangs," Hillary Clinton said in a C-SPAN video clip. "Just as in a previous generation we had an organized effort against the mob. We need to take these people on. They are often connected to big drug cartels, they are not just gangs of kids anymore. They are often the kinds of kids that are called superpredators — no conscience, no empathy. We can talk about why they ended up that way, but first, we have to bring them to heel."

The full context of this incident does link children and superpredators, but nowhere in the speech does she directly label African-American youth this way.

However, backlash from this speech has followed Clinton into this year’s election. Two Black Lives Matter activists confronted Clinton at a private fundraiser in February, telling the candidate she owes black people an apology......

Thank you for keeping an open mind.

Okay, done. Your premise is not thought out very well. I would need to know if there were any African Americans that applied to be an intern for Trump. I don't know why they would, even if they were conservative. Any conservative African American that has taken a conservative stand has been called names such as "Uncle Tom" and "house negro" by their own people.

Black News

I could go on but I think I made the point. Now why would anyone open themselves up to that kind of needless vitriol from people of their own race? The tactic works. African Americans beat down people of their own color that have a conservative point of view.

Another reason is that the majority of African Americans are Democrats. Not many Democrats want to work from Trump's administration, regardless of race.

What I want to know is why do African Americans not denounce Jew hater, Farrakhan if they are so worried about Diversity?
