It’s just speculation at this point so it’s impossible to say for sure. I lean toward less, given who he replaced, and the upcoming DPRK talks. But, I could be wrong. The general didn’t have the foreign affairs experience that Bolton has, and Bolton doesn’t have the military training and experience the general has. It could be a toss up at this point.
I know Bolton has made himself a punching bag for the left, but he’s not the idiot or warmonger he’s made out to be, or that he’s even made himself appear to be.
Bolton is a ****ing nutjob.
Yeah, why would we put Bolton in?
I see John Bolton in the cabinet as an endorsement of the Iraq War. I guess Trump did a 180 on that.
I think Bolton is to be a strong showing, a warning sign to prevent further escalation. He does have experience, he is tough, he knows just about everything there is to know.
Since he isn't in the cabinet, you must be seeing things.
Bolton heavily supported the Bush/Cheney lies about Iraqi WMD. 15 years later and the US is still in Iraq.
Bolton is a dedicated war-hawk who has called for preemptive strikes against N. Korea and Iran. He was too extreme to be confirmed as UN ambassador in 2005.
Trump is firing (or they resign) every moderate advisor-voice and replacing them with sycophants and hard-liners. The only moderate voice left is probably Mattis.
War is coming.
He's fired already? What was that 8 hours? :lamo
No, you just don’t know the difference between a cabinet level officer and a presidential advisor.

IMHO way to early to judge. Bolton is smart and experienced. Probably a bit more hawkish than McMaster. Heard parts of an interview he gave last night. He understands that it's his job to offer the President options and then except whatever decision the Prez makes.
I've liked, and mostly agreed with what Bolton has written and said in the past. Looking forward to seeing how he'll do.
Cool story bro
I seriously doubt that would ever happen. But creating doubt in Kim's mind seems to have made him more receptive. NK has been bombarded with sanctions for decades - what good has that done? But now, Trump's carefully crafted image as a trigger happy cowboy being held in check by Tillerson and Kelly, et al has, IMHO, raised enough doubt in Kim's mind that he's seeking a more diplomatic way.You see no problem with a nuclear first strike on NK?
