Chris Hayes always looks at the ceiling as if he is going to find an answer there! The one before him, Matthews is looney and only interested in plugging his book. Rachel is smart and very polished. My issue is that she could wrap up her show in fifteen minutes w/o the drama.....But Chris Hayes is tolerable as is Shepard Smith and Chris Wallace on Fox. By the teaspoon.......all of them!

I wish I could watch Shep Smith. I can't catch his show but I would watch it. I like him, in spite of all that eye makeup.

Chris Wallace is my favorite. Mad respect for that man. Mad.

I'd rather chew my left eyeball out than watch Chris Matthews.

Sounds like the fraud that was Hannity & Colmes with an aggressive mouthy right winger supposedly balanced with a passive shrinking violet liberal . What a joke. :doh:roll:

Not really. They give the lefty plenty of talk time but it is a little out of balance. Hannity is absolutely unfurled lately, can't stand his whackery.

Matthews has the absolute maddening habit of not letting his guests answer questions that he puts to them talking over them . I keep telling my wife I would NEVER go on that show being treated in that fashion. Of ouches the last show I was on had a section called The Peanut Gallery and featured a clown so its not like my pundit career is thriving anyway.

But having said that - I do watch Chris Matthews more often than not as there is something about his Kennedy politics I like and find comforting. His new book on Bobby Kennedy was really good.

lol i know fox works for Putin too

Just like to know what news you watch

Never even heard of Randi Rhodes. Interesting that with all of the other more well known names you could have picked you would pick her as your fourth choice. I get the feeling the intent of this post was to give her a plug. Back to the question though, I don't watch or listen to any of that garbage.

I've gotten to the point that I hate them all...I watch the CBS evening news to keep up on the world and that's it...even my local news has become politically propagandaized...

I'm the same way but I mostly watch ABC. I get most of my news by reading unbiased things on the internet from such places as AP and Reuters. If I see the story comes from some extremist media I don't even waste my time with it.

So, you favor networks that have no representation of the other side at all, like MSNBC?

I watch Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace religiously. He's the only news show like that I watch. It's hard to beat him for fairness and middle of the road.

After running in left hand circles for a while, you really should check Fox so that you don't get too dizzy and fall out!

:lamo

It is important to follow Fox News to stay up to date on Hillary Clinton watch 2018. They are the only ones covering her.

Absolutely agree. He's a very fair, equal opportunity basher/challenger. He may have a bias but it's very hard to see what it is as he is able to contain it. I also really enjoy his style. He doesn't get all weepy, dopey and hyperbolic. He's awesome. I never miss his show.

Every once in while - at least once a day - I do click to FOX just to see what they are saying. Damn it but I lose more TV's that way after throwing bricks at the screen.

I find the bylines on FOX to be useful to see what their viewers think, though FOX is muted.

They had a Bret Baier special at night several weeks ago on 'hot spots' in the World. Comments on South America were new to me.

Our cable just got i24news based out of Israel. Their take on USA politics and around the world is outstanding, and 2 days ahead of our cables. Stateside is at 9:00 Eastern.

I watch cable news for the guests I respect, like Michael Steele, former RNC chief.

Saw Mr. Donan, Israeli ambassador to the UN on i24news deliver one of the most powerful speeches I've ever seen recently. Haley's speech was contaminated with shots at Obama ...

I only watch cable news during elections. And then I flip between 2 or 3, including CNN and Fox. Always fun to see when they call states opposite of one another. But as far as tracking news on the internet, I go to MSNBC, CNN and FOX. The truth lies somewhere between them all and they all leave out parts of a story if they don't match their agenda.

Your answer explains a lot. No wonder you have such a closed mind and have nothing but a biased partisan perspective.

So they are not your cup of tea. I can respect that. Too bad you cannot do the same for others who make a different choice.

So, you favor networks that have no representation of the other side at all, like MSNBC?

I have seen plenty of representatives of the other side on MSNBC. Nicole Wallace has her own show five days a week. And Steve Schmidt is a regular on many shows. And Rick Tyler is a regular on many shows also. And that is just off the top of my head. And CNN has even more.

Yeah, it is all becoming more and more about infotainment

Precisely why I rarely watch cable news any more, regardless of where it lands on the political spectrum.

I'll watch CNN from time to time when there's something big happening. The Five on Fox maybe once every couple of months, maybe. That's about it.

I spend a lot less time watching cable news than I used to... I turn to cable for maybe 25% of information..and divide that about 45% MSNB, 45%CNN, 10% FOX.

Rachel Maddow is incredibly smart, her show completely vetted, and tells the story with more details and nuance than many people care to hear. I think Chris Wallace is the best at Fox, followed by Brett Baier. The rest of the lineup is not news or information IMO. At CNN Anderson Cooper is hit or miss interesting depending on his panelists.

I rely on online sources and subscriptions for information. And of course, DP

I'm the same way, I have to turn it on sometimes just to be sure they are still as bat-**** crazy and unprofessional as the last, and I'm rarely disappointed. I really try to watch it to, but I quickly start thinking "who the hell actually watches this and thinks its legitimate!? It pisses off my wife, she tries to throw the brick at ME when I turn it on :)

Your wife sounds like a keeper.

Where's the "none of the above"?

I don't watch TV news unless someone/somewhere (a person's house, a bar, etc) is inflicting it on me

I look at all four, fully realizing that two of them are grossly biased .. even NPR is biased ..
