Just curious for the members that have children, if they have any political leanings, what are they?

Right.
But to be fair, I brainwash them and beat them with reeds if they say anything that sounds a bit socialist.

Elder son, who has worked his ass off since the day he graduated high school...conservative.

Younger son, who is shaping up to be a professional student...liberal.

Their mother...couldn't care less about politics, is a realist and thinks Pelosi is an idiot.

Me...conservative.

We all tend to stay away from politics when we get together.

My son is 42 and my daughter is 40 in May. Both of them are conservative (both ex-Army) but they are more modern than I am and a little less conservative than me. My son-in-law is conservative (ex-army) and almost as conservative as I am. My two eldest grand daughters (20 and 17) are, unfortunately, more to the left (their mother is a lefty) and I am just hopeful that they will grow out of it...they are both good, decent kids, quite bright so I am hopeful that with more life experience and when the reality of the world hits them, that they will follow their nana politically. I shall strive to teach them

My oldest daughter never has been interested in politics, never registered to vote and doesn't give a hoot. She's 52.

My son 49, is like my oldest daughter. He also never registered to vote and never will. Whenever I ask him about it, he basically says that Washington is going to do what Washington wants to do regardless of what the people want or wish. It doesn't matter who is president or who is in office, no one listens anyway. That is about as political as he gets. He's 49

My youngest daughter is registered and she does vote. Voting ends her interests in politics. She leans right on fiscal issues and left on social issues. She isn't tied to any political party. She always looks for the best candidate regardless of party and is always asking me question about so and so and others. Where do they stand and what do they think of this or that. she like me is apt to vote third party when neither major party candidates are up to snuff. But in a way that is how she was brought up. She went with me to political meetings back in the early 90's of Ross Perot's United We Stand, America before the Reform Party was formed and to some Reform Party meetings after that. Very independent minded she is.

Only nieces and nephews. Though the two youngest are centrist at the moment.

The oldest has just finished his first year of college and is pretty hard line conservative. Though he has had some pretty bad run ins with the liberal parties on campus recently and I think he is just overcompensating at the moment.

He would possibly be more libertarian, with some conservative values maintained.

My daughter started Very Progressive. She has the biggest heart and empathy for those less fortunate. She lives in Brooklyn now for the last 4 years and I see the difference in that she is leaning more to the center now. She's experienced 'real life' now and has struggled like many. She has also seen too much of the attitude of 'why bother, when you can get it for free' that goes against her upbringing. It's hard out there, especially in an expensive state/city and she has been tempted to take the 'easy way' but resisted (for now). Proud of her, but hate watching her struggle.

Mine have followed us to Republican events since they were in strollers. We expected them to be Republicans, as we are. But our eldest is voting for the first time this year, and he told us over the weekend he can't and won't support the Republicans. #2 and #3 will be able to vote in 2020, we'll see what they do.

One of my good friends lives in Brooklyn. Williamsburg I think. He loves it! But, he's a youngster. 22. When the excitement of youth dies down, I can't foresee him hacking it out in that expensive place.

She is in Bushwick, close to the border of Williamsburg. She loves it there too (she's 24). I was kind of hoping that 'love' would taper off as the financial reality of living there sets in, but it hasn't yet. She pays $750 plus utilities for a small ROOM, with no window, sharing the 1 bathroom apt. with 3 others.

I call that insane, but I'm old..haha!

There is so much culture there. It's a vibrant place.

Anti Trump but otherwise I have no idea. Probably has a lot of right wing perspective based on his personality, but the GOP abandoned principle in favor of Trump loyalty, so I guess we will see.

My daughter's not really very ideological. She just wants to be coddled and taken care of, and she throws a temper tantrum whenever she doesn't get her way.

Which is what she loves about it! She's an Art History/Gallery Management major and loves the artsy atmosphere and the diversity. Her 'dream' is to open an art gallery for 'real people' Making art available and affordable for all, especially the lowest of incomes. A worthy, if not fanciful, ambition. But I'll support her anyway :)

forgive me. starting to be the bragging parent here. was not intended!

One of my friends from HS is into that. She lives in London and NY doing Art galleries and stuff like that. So, there is a way.

My daughter tends to lean right as she tends to be a bit conservative.

the 8 yr old leans right and the 10 yr old leans left. They are kids and don't yet understand all that goes into politics, just like liberals, progressives and hard core conservatives.

My daughter is affiliated with the Sith.
