Is the GOP still the "party of fiscal responsibility"?

Neither side is the party of fiscal responsibility. It is dishonest to hang that around the Republican's necks when Democrats aren't either. Together, they make a great team.

Well we know you definitely don’t care about your side lying but it was funny during the obama admin that you cared about it. Funny how that goes huh?

Dems never claimed to be. It's the Rep's de facto slogan. Protest denied.

I agree, the party of fiscal responsibility is whomever is not in power. Seems to be the only time either party cares.

They never were... Fiscal Responsibility in Politics is a myth.

The difference is a matter of scale. Both parties are fiscally irresponsible but the DNC is FAR more so than the GOP. It's like having two kids who are both irresponsible, both are broke, but one is buying comic books and the other is buying cars.

Just saying. Neither side cares about it. It might be hypocritical or lying when the right claims they are fiscally responsible when they aren't but it is also hypocritical for the left to complain about the right not being fiscally responsible when they aren't themselves.

Dems never claimed to be. It's the Rep's de facto slogan. Protest denied.

But it's hypocritical of the left to complain about the right not being fiscally responsible when they aren't themselves.

Great analogy till the end there.

More like one kid is giving away money he doesn't have to help the less fortunate and the other guy is giving away money he doesn't have to his rich friends.

Not really, not anymore. Not since Reagan at the latest.

By the way I remember that episode. Remember that Schultz owns the Schatzi toy factory? :)

You guys might as well be arguing about who has the best imaginary friend...

I think it's relative.... They certainly are more so than the democrats.... at least they talk the talk....

There are Democrat who outright deny that the debt is even an issue whatsoever and just says, Keynesian economics bro...

Republicans are at their best when it's a democrat president in Power and they hold congress.
Otherwise, when they are in full power, they go on a spending spree... if dems are in in full power they go on a spending spree.... when it's a Republican President and democrat congress... it's still a spending spree.

Here, let me help you. Since you clearly do not know the definition of hypocrisy...
