If Mexico will not pay, and the premise was that they would, then the idea fails. If the premise is not true then the conclusion is faulty...Therefore no wall.

I'm not suggesting people should abandon his support for him because he found he might not be able to fulfill that promise. He never really had a plan..He said he would accomplish something which he never explained, only that the wall will be built and Mexico will pay for it. Sounds good, if you want that wall doesn't it?...may even garner some votes....

He said the same thing about his health plan...it would be so easy and beautiful and no one would lose their insurance.

He's a pathological liar who understands how stupid people really are.
 
Republicans are just better at messaging. Look at the number of people using the phrase "chain migration." It's ****in genius.

Nope - spouse and kid's are still OK under a more limited "chain migration" policy. What makes no sense is to let "not really" illegal immigrant minors (brought/sent here by the their illegal immigrant parents) amnesty and then grant them a right to invite the "true criminals" in with chain migration visas.

By "true criminals" you mean people who came to this country and raised children who have grown up to live productive lives?

No, those true criminals see obeying US immigration law as being something that other fools might abide. Many would like to pretend that open borders has no downside and that rewarding those that get here first, kids in tow a major plus, is completely reasonable. Of course, they would object if hiring or promotion was done mostly (70%?) on the basis of family ties.

He doesn't have a solid plan on anything. We'll have to wait and see what he does next about the wall idea.
