Should Schumer Be Replaced?

Should Schumer Be Replaced?

Chucky Schumer is a gift to republicans. Please don't fire him....

A lot of people know. That's why Democrats have lost so much popularity. Yes, Democrats support some good things. They also shield Wall Street and Big Pharma. Of course, they are starting to get better rhetorically on some of those issues, but I think that is mainly because of Bernie.
I think you are wrong. Wall Street is undeniably behind the GOP. The Dems passed Dodd/Frank, which Wall St. fought tooth and nail. Who is trying to weaken Dodd/Frank today? The GOP.

The Dems, if they had their way, would have let the government negotiate with big pharma instead of the way the GOP passed Medicare Part D -- no negotiations.

From Game of Thrones to Game of Chicken.

Too bad people don't die in congress for their miscalculations of political gamesmanship.

Nobody would run if that were the case but I know where you're coming from.

Your prediction is wrong. Do you think about how the right feels? If you do then your post is just snark just for snark (my pick). If you don't then you can't be as smart as you think you are. Either way, it's a stupid question.

Nate Silver, one of the best predictors around ****s up predictions.

Why are you raising the issue about how smart that I think I am? How smart do you think you are?

The most important point made in my post is the last paragraph of my post.

I'm ditto'ing post #8. Every single elected official in the Kingdom of Washington needs to be booted, rinse and repeat a few times...and any staffer that's worked at the Capitol for more than a year.

And who in DP doesn't "Snark" from time to time?

I would personally like Schumer gone because he is a weak leader. Talking about looking for bipartisan solutions to problems always sounds nice, but if the other team wacks you in the head every time you extend your hand it is time for something different. You can't make up for caving in by making jokes about the president. Enough talk, it is now time for action.

This. Schumer is pathetic, and seems incapable, or perhaps even worse, unwilling, to learn some very obvious lessons, especially since to absolutely no one's surprise the GOP is refusing to honour the absolutely non-binding promise which anyone and everyone who had even half a brain knew was as good as a bankruptee's IOU. In the end it's looking like he caved for absolutely nothing; a loser by nature or design.

Not sure what you mean. I don't think anyone else has had any trouble understanding.

You clearly have something you want to say about Chuck Schummer, otherwise you wouldn't have put this poll up. So what is it?

Schumer may have a few cards left to play.

https://www.politico.com/story/2018/01/23/chuck-schumer-trump-wall-offer-359156

Chuck Schumer is taking his big spending boost for Donald Trump’s border wall off the table.

The Senate minority leader, through an aide, informed the White House on Monday that he was retracting the offer he made last week to give Trump well north of the $1.6 billion in wall funding Trump had asked for this year, according to two Democrats. And now they say Trump will simply not get a better deal than that on his signature campaign promise.

No DACA, no Wall.

If you're a reasonable person you can spot members on both sides that need replacing, they are too old and set in their ways, unable to compromise are out for revenge or to punish the other party at the expense of the tax payers or are outright bought.

Actually they are all outright bought and the other reasons follow. But being this is about Chucky boy, yes he should be gone, so should Piglosi and that witch from San Francisco.

You're reading far too much into this. I was just curious how lefties felt about Schumer, good or bad. That's all there is to it. I have often complained that many of these polls put up are nothing but partisan garbage with partisan questions and partisan poll answers. I do my best to put up polls that are not partisan in nature. I was hoping the right would stay out of voting and only the left would vote in the polls. I have no secret motive. Sorry to disappoint you.

It would be up to the people of NY, not likely. They'll stop Cuomo at the polls because all he does is create more taxes, Shcumer is known for bringing home the bacon, true or not.

NYC milked 9/11 really well, Shumer in Front.

I thought this was a pretty good summary of Schumer's abject failure to lead and negotiate; he gets emotional, but understandably so:

Don't replace him; he's already a corpse. Leave him alone. The Democrats might replace him with somebody who knows what he's doing. I like old "Shutdown" Schumer.

You know what Schumer says about illegal immigrants; "if you can't get anyone to vote for you import them".........
